Would a PRIME Mike Tyson beat the overrated fraud known as Lennox Lewis?

If Buster Douglas can do it, so can Lewis.

How so? The rules state that if you don't make the referees count of ten you lose, Douglas made it. Nope hes an ATG heavyweight. don't listen to this moron all Lennox could do was beat who was out there at the time let's not forget Bowe ducked him aswell im a huge fan of Tyson but Lewis was an all round better champion than Mike yes he got exposed a few times but he always came back and he beat Vitali on his absolute worst day Tyson on his worst day couldn't beat Buster Douglas he lost to the only great fighters he ever faced in Holyfield and Lewis we can't just hyperthetically say Tyson in his prime beats this and that fighter it doesn't work like that when Lewis fought Tyson both men were past their primes Tyson was probably on more of a decline but you can't blame Lewis for that he beat the version of Tyson that was infront of him and that version of Tyson was knocking guys out and would have done well in today's climate also face it no one likes to give Lewis credit because he is British and in most American's eyes British fighters are overhyped which is true to some extent but we don't get as many stars as in the States so when we do we rave about them to say Lewis wasn't an ATG is ludicrous the man's record speaks for itself

Lennox Lewis would beat any version of Tyson anywhere anytime.

Tyson never came from behind to win any fights, he lacked a real fighters heart imo. He relied to much on his raw physical abilities and that is why in his later years he became a bit of a bum. Prime Lewis would have got into his head, out thought and out fought him imo.

I'm obviously not British but I Lewis was a bad style match up for Tyson. Tall, long HW with a sledge hammer for a right hand, great jab. I think Tyson has the chance to KO anyone with his power but I see Lewis beating him from the outside. Tsyon went the distance with Razor Rudduck and James Bonecrusher Smith and Lewis is a much better fighter than those two. IMO I think Tyson is one of the most overrated fighters of all time. He had incredible power and movement but wasn't the destroyer that people make him out to be. He was in an era where he wasn't contested much and when he did finally fight the best of his time (Holyfield, Lewis) he was easily beaten.

Tyson was cheated of a win vs Douglas. Also, the coward Lennox was still fighting in the amateurs when Mike was tearing through the division. Lennox was nothing but a British hype-job. Poleaxed by two bums - a prime Mike would surely get to that shaky chin within 4 rounds. Late 80's and early 90's Lewis' jab was not fully developed and Tyson would easily slip under it and test that China chin. Tyson was a good decade past his best when he lost to the fraud Lennox. Unless Tyson knocks him out, he has no chance against Lewis. Lennox Lewis was very good at using his height and once his opponent gets inside him he smothers and put his weight on them. Tyson's game plan was basically get inside his taller opponents and throw hard short punches. However Tyson was not so good on the inside as we've seen with in his fights with Holyfield and even with Douglas because he was a small dude that can be out-muscled and overpowered. Just like what happened in their fight, I see Lewis jabbing, throwing rights from different angles and putting his weight on him as Tyson gets inside.

Lennox beats him.

Lennox Lewis would be another early KO for Mike. Probably within a few short rounds.

Tyson is overrated, Lewis was just too skilled to lose to him.

I'd favor Tyson, I don't think Lewis Jab was fast enough to be effective, I can see Tyson getting on him early and knocking him out.

Seriously, the fight would go pretty much the same way except Tyson would be dangerous for more than 1 round. Lennox would just weather the storm, lean on him, jab his face off and knock him the fuk out.

Im a big Tyson fan, but it is also well known that Lennox was brought in to spar a few times with Tyson in their youth. Lennox already had a clue into what Tyson's strengths and weakness was... Tyson's Prime was in 86-90, Lennox would have had a HARD time keeping up with his movement but if he used his Jab effectively i think Lennox would have had a shot. If not then he gets KOed simple as that.
