Thinking back at Mayweather and Pacquiao's last ten opponents, what are examples of fighters not succumbing to the moment? Maidana and Margarito, for example, were fearless and showed zero signs of the moment being too imposing. Others, like Canelo, Thurman, and Rios were visibly intimidated by the task at hand.

I can't think of one recently off the top of my head. Seems like we always ask for a good undercard but never get it.

I think by the time he's 28, fully-grown, he will move up to WW to chase big money fights. There's a limited sample size, but his bravado is great and the talent is there. I can definitely foresee him putting up a good fight against whoever is undisputed at 140 and even winning a belt at 147. I hope there isn't any fishy-business when Loma whitewashes him before he leaves for 140

Not enough people say they are grateful for certain boxing events. They may not be what we want (Spence-Craw, etc), but some matchups are still entertaining. I am glad we are getting this rather than Spence vs. Ugas or Porter vs. Khan.

I know Mayweather and Canelo lead the thoughts around here, but Pacquiao just picked up an enormous win near the tail-end of the decade (and career). What are everybody's thoughts?

It was a better bargain for your money. Garcia straight up sucked all energy out of their fight. Khan, at the very least, is always up for a good fight. Ugly ending but a watchable fight. Spence didn't go in for the kill at any point. Crawford did.

After Terrence knocks out Khan, a fight with Collazo is the logical next step. Luis is on a solid three fight win streak over tough contenders and deserves to be in with Crawford in what I may consider a 70-30 fight in Crawford's favor. What do you guys think? Make the fight Bob. Make it.

The hot option, Adrien Broner, turned out to be hot diarrhea. Who do you think takes it for 2010-2019? I think three fighters qualify: Canelo, especially if he finishes out 2019 strong Pacquiao, especially if he captures a Duran-Barkley performance before years end. Mayweather is the popular option but sitting out five years is quite a lot. Mayweather, who would have iffy but official wins over both of the FOTD 2000-2009 & 2010-2019 if Canelo wins or Pacquiao were to double up would be a feat. FOTS (Fighter of the Score) {twenty years}

I'm asking honestly and hoping for no stupid troll answers... what do you want to see from him? "Rigo was small/old, Linares lost to Broner leftovers, Martinez was crap, Russell TBA, Walters a never-was, lost to Salidoe" Do you want to see him dominate Mikey Garcia? To see Linares get back to being a dominant champ after this beating? To knocking out Tank Davis? To going up to 140 and beating the #1 guy there too once it's established? Because at some point, you can't criticize him anymore. If he were to do all that, would that change any haters' opinion of him?

Not just on a P4P list, but as all-time cruisers? Undefeated, undisputed champions. I know it'll depend on what happens after for them & their opponents.. both might go to HW... both could pull a Holyfield, but even if they don't continue fighting at CW, where would you put them?

Interesting twist here. I use Floyd & Manny because of their near equivalence regarding everything career wise, so the question is... What are each of their five worst wins? I'm asking since they became legitimate P4P material. Floyd after the Genaro title win and Manny presumable after the Barrera win. Ex. Berto, N'dou, Sosa for Floyd Larios, Velasquez for Manny Looking forward to what people come up with.

My personal vote goes to Tony Weeks because of big fight experience and overall reliability. I'm asking for modern/current referees, but feel free to mention any historical 3rd men.

I thought about this and did some research. It's a very short list, with all fighters having been able to accomplish it recently. There's Pacquiao and Floyd ofc, in 90/00/10 decades. Hopkins 90/00/10. Vitali and Mosley are two fighters that did not win a belt in a 3rd decade, but rather carried one into it. Hearns misses the cut by a few months having won his first in '80. Wlad won his first title in 2000 and misses the cut. If you can believe it(and if you count interim), Randall f*cking Bailey and Zab Judah are also on the list for the 90/00/10 decades. If anybody could think of any other fighter, be my guest. :boxing: Just felt like sharing this interesting detail. (Anything to distract from the usual crap)

How many do you see Canelo-Chavez doing¿ More/less than the Khan or Cotto fights?

At the time of the stoppage? Excluding the 11th round* I had Joshua up 3-1 after Round Four. Gave him a 9-8 Round Five. Klit won Round Six 10-8. Rounds 7-10 had them split even. Joshua up 94-93. He was also coming on strong in the last few I noticed, meaning he would've finished stronger(barring the KO). Plus, it's in England. He would've gotten the call.

Who ya got? Am I alone in thinking that Keith does nothing remotely good enough in order to beat Khan? How easily would Khan box his way to a UD? Of course, I'd pick Thurman by KO because Khan has the ring IQ of a peanut and trades too much. It's as if he fights like Mayweather for four rounds and then turns into Mayorga until he gets KOed. Fun fight, nonetheless. :boxing:

Seeing the Bradley/Provo thread got me interested in the feedback to this fight. Maybe not classic in the sense that it was monumental or a FOTY, but in terms of hype and action inside the ring, I'd file it under a cult classic IMO; two warriors going to war, great re-watch value alongside the aforementioned Bradley fight. Love or hate Broner, everybody loved this fight in particular. Nothing better than Maidana returning the grind at the end of the fight after dropping and punking Broner twice throughout. :boxing:

Not to mention the fact that one guy is actually a professional boxer while the other is 0-0 and got toyed with by Van Heerden****. Floyd fans really have no room to comment when their guy is about to pull a Toney-Couture type deal.
