What's Fury going to do differently? He's just going to try to outbox him again like he was doing the first time. Wilder is the one that has to adjust and fight smarter. Don't focus so much on trying to force a knockout.

It gives him the possibility of refining his craft. A slow, fat Ortiz lets Wilder work the body a little more, getting practice in versus a world-class opponent. But it does nothing for his resume, nor does Ortiz deserve a rematch

I really don't care too much about a rematch. Wilder should be fighting someone else. It is not like Ortiz mounted a great comeback series of fights. It seems he just kept busy waiting for the phone to ring.

I don't think it is pointless at all, though it would not be anywhere near my top pick. Breazeale did something really really stupid and got knocked out because of it. Ortiz might very well lose again but he won't be dropping his left hand to waist level, that's for certain. Ortiz is a smart fighter. He had won more rounds than he lost the first go round when Wilder got a right hand around Ortiz's guard, it's not likely that Ortiz is going to let that happen again. Not saying I wouldn't favor Wilder in a rematch, I would. Physically Wilder might be too much for the old man but there is always a chance that the craftiness factor comes into play and Ortiz catches Wilder with something he was not expecting.

That Christian Hammer fight really ruined the rematch for me. Ortiz looked horrible in that one

can he improve againts Fury?? a 33 years old with limited technique and gameplan. from what i see every time there are rematch between boxer and puncher, the boxer always have the upper hand because they adjust better. If Wilder is healthy and comes in around 222-230 he knocks him out within 3. Wilder was sick during their first fight. These guys need to realize they're in the way of the fights we want to see. Pay him some step aside money.

I slated AJ for the proposed Whyte rematch and il slate Wilder for this .. Waste of time Wilder v Whyte AJ v Ortiz would maybe be worthwhile . I would take this over the rematches.

The fact is that any fight that doesn't involve at least two of AJ, Fury and Wilder is going to be pretty pointless. Anything else is just on the same level of "whatever."

It's not a fight that gets me really amped to be honest. Ortiz is just so old and roided - I would be surprised if he doesn't get busted fro PEDs.

I don`t believe he can beat Wilder, but once Kownacki loses his 0, there are many fights for him with guys on his level.

I’d probably squeeze in Parker over Ortiz Pov not a big fan he fails in the biggest fights I guess Ortiz is mostly on reputation since he hasn't done anything at all in his entire career. Yeah but those were against Wladimir Klitschko and AJ. That's what separates the elite from the very good.
