PPV hasn't had a great undercard in a long time. At best, we can hope for good, with a real world title at stake (ex Dirrell vs. Benavidez, or Rungvisai vs. Gonzalez). Main event fighters are mad greedy.
It's one of the reasons I appreciated both UK boxing and PBC last few years. They both put on cards that you can just sit and watch for a couple of hours, instead of checking your watch every 10 mins.. or trying not to be too drunk at 1230am when main events start.
Might have to go back to the Don King Showtime days for a truly great undercard. Lol
There has been some good double headers/co-headlining fights throughout the years, but I can remember an actual good undercard in recent memory.
I can't think of one recently off the top of my head. Seems like we always ask for a good undercard but never get it.
Mayweather-Berto had a good undercard, despite a sh**ty main event- Jack-Groves and Martinez vs Salido.
Mayweather-Canelo had Garcia-Matthysse and another world title fight. Ishe Smith vs Carlos Molina? Or something like that.
