I'm asking in regards to his style. Is he not a slick boxer?
Or is there something else causing certain people to support a wild KO swinger in Wilder? I.e. a bum that gets exposed until he lands one decent punch that could crumble gods
I liked him until he became a PED cheat and did his whole "fans made me depressed" thing.
I still appreciate him and like certain things about him but will never feel the same way. Hard to get real enthusiastic about cheaters.
i haven't seen anyone say anything negative about fury's ability in ages. people who dislike him generally do so because of his choices outside the ring.
getting stripped due to PED's and cocaine, sitting out for years while proclaiming he is still the king of the division. a lot of people will root for someone who has done everything the right way, feeling they have earned success more so than a guy like fury who may come across as less worthy due to his recent mistakes.
not saying i agree. he still got this good from working his ass off, and he had to do it again to get back in the mix.
then there is just his whole personality, he is a very love him or hate him kind of guy.
i ddin't care for his fight with klitschko. that was the worst dimension of his style.
and then there was the PEDS. and the cocaine. and the fact that it was essentially brushed under the table because the lawsuit would have bankrupted the drug testing entity. and gaining 100+ lbs. there was a lot to not like.
but then he confronted his demons, came back from damn near killing himself, got clean, and started training hard. he beat wilder's ass for almost every minute of that fight. and then when he got hurt he got up. he's an inspirational story.
He has always been unpredictable and unstable; A Judas and a snake who can never be trusted. Wilder resurrected his career after he was virtually forgotten by the British public by throwing him a lifeline and granting him a charitable defense of his WBC title which Fury requested and accepted just to turn around and spit in Deontay Wilder's eye. Wilder would have been better off had he left the bum on the street where he found him. He piggybacked off of Wilder's fame just to increase his overall name and profile to secure that ESPN deal.

Probably because he cheated and used his jmental illness as an excuse. Many boxers are hated its not just Fury. Charlos Tank, Spence, post injury Adonis, Wilder. It’s part of boxing if we all liked the same fighter it would be boring
Yeh, this is pretty much it
Honestly! Fury was received very positively in the US! Some Brits turned on him though but it is funny how people trying to spin it and make it seems like it is others who don't like him. Fury won a lot of people over after his fight with Wilder. It was some AJ Fans that was trying to downplay him, even said "The Fight Won't Happen" "Fury Will Pull Out The Fight"

What people are you talking about? Most of the people that don't like Fury are AJ fans. Americans that support Wilder against Fury do so because Wilder is an American, not because they dislike Fury.
most wilder fans actually like fury and give him full respect for his performance against wilder....i know i for one totally do
however most of us are a bit miffed at fury for this move yesterday....we were all hoping to get a fury/wilder 2 this spring....now we may have to wait and who knows how long
most of us wilder fans respect fury though....seems u might be reaching
