His last fight was a disaster, but overall I like his fights.
They don't need to televise 1 eastern Euro vs another eastern Euro, it's always a boring fight. Just like Wlad vs Ibragimov.
I think they just split the money and laughed at people who paid for this.
Those fights didn't even look like real fights. They look like a boxing fight out of the movie Sgt. Bilko.
Vitaly probably published the pics by himself. The pics show him with hot chicks, now he's more popular then ever lol
You have to be gay to think that pics like that make somebody look bad lol
wladimir might crack a couple HW top 10 by the end of it, but there's no way in hell you can call vitali klitschko an all time great. he has no great wins, and lost to the two best fighters he faced.
Tyson also lost to 2 best fighters he faced, Holyfield and Lewis.
Frazier also lost to 2 best fighters he faced, Foreman and Ali.
Holyfield himself lost to Lewis and Bowe.
Only Mayweather never lost, but never fought any of best fighters either lol
but I agree that Vitaly doesn't crack top 10 right now, but he is close. He has solid victories, defeated WBC champion in the first fight after 4 year layoff is (was) very dominant in most of his fight, was never KOed or KDed and only lost by injury in fights that could go either way.

We need to tell this grown man to face the music. It still is the super fight of our generation. We can not be denied because one is chickening out. It's up to us fans and Floyd fans to push this fight.
We all know Khan is a glass jaw cheap imitation of Pac. Why fight him when Pac is willing to fight him.
It's time. Man-up Floyd!
Floyd: 'Im not scared Im smart' - says it all
lol, in the end of the video Floyd pretty much admits he's scared of Pacman, what an imbecile. ATG my ass lol
lol at people who are trying to prove that this era is weak, that's bs.
In the 90s boxing became a global sport instead of just Americans vs Americans and when there are no American champions all of a sudden division is weak?
lol
When Lewis was the champ people also talked sh1t about him just like they do now about Wlad.
Most of the older generation fighters wouldn't even be HWs today, they would be cruserweights.
Definitely possible at Hopkins age.
He hasn't fought a puncher like Kovalev for a while who can get close and land hard punches.
Hopkins will have success though I believe. It's a fight I'd like to see to be honest.
Although I feel it's a weak division there's a few fights I'd like to see.
Hell, I'd even like to see Kovalev-Dawson myself.
Kovalev would probably blow away Dawson just like Silakh

Mayweather: If they keep paying, keep handpicking them!
Floyd Mayweather is happy to admit his undefeated record has been partly built on handpicking opponents who didn't always provide the toughest fights but did help him become the world's best paid athlete.
"Sometimes they say, 'Well, Floyd Mayweather's opponents was handpicked.' That's a good thing," Mayweather said in a conference call to promote Saturday's eagerly-awaited world title fight against Mexico's WBC and WBA super welterweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
"I commend my team ... when I sit back and I think about my career, I say 'you know what? I had a cool career. I didn't take any punishment'.
"If they say these guys were handpicked, they was handpicked to make $40 and $50 and $60 million, then you know what? Keep handpicking them. If they're going to keep paying, keep handpicking them."
Mayweather, who Forbes magazine lists as the world's highest paid athlete, has been criticised for dodging a potential mega fight with Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao.
The two have tried several times over the past few years to get the deal done for what would likely be the biggest and most lucrative fight in boxing history.
But each time negotiations broke down when they couldn't come to terms on a variety of issues, including drug testing and share of the revenue and purses.
The fight with Alvarez is the second in Mayweather's six-bout, 30-month contract with American cable network Showtime that could pay him more than $US200 million. After Mayweather beat Robert Guerrero in May, he said he wanted to fight again in September - marking the first time since 2007 he will be in the ring twice in a calendar year.
Mayweather's guaranteed purse for the Alvarez fight is reported to be a record $41 million which would surpass the previous record of $32 million he received for fighting Guerrero.
Organizers are also hoping that this fight will eclipse the 2.44 million record pay-per-view sales and sales of more than $130 million racked up by the Mayweather and Oscar de la Hoya fight in 2007. Mayweather will also get a cut of the pay-per-view money on top of his guaranteed purse.
Mayweather, who is undefeated in 44 fights, says he will take nothing for granted when he faces Alvarez in a 12-round showdown of unbeaten fighters at the MGM Grand Hotel.
"I am not overlooking this guy," said Mayweather. "In Mexico he is a young rock star and everybody that they put in front of him he was able to go out there and do his job.
"I am pushing myself to the limit right now."
The last time Mayweather stopped an opponent inside the distance was two years ago and that came when Victor Ortiz lowered both his hands and was looking at the referee for a ruling. Mayweather seized the moment and hit Ortiz with a combination of punches that floored Ortiz.
Since then, Mayweather has won 12-round decisions over Miguel Cotto in May 2012 and Guerrero.
the worst of all time?
no.
primo carnera, tommy burns, jess willard, are all much worst fighters. all lineal champs, those three.
vitali was never the lineal champion, anyway. he was just a title holder.
it's a shame, because i think he would stop his brother in his prime. wladimir has the much better resume, but i thought vitali would beat him.
wrong, Vitaly was a lineal champion after Lewis retired.
How can number 1 p4p fighter get away with fighting average fighters only?
how is that guy number 1 p4p anyway. Alvarez was such an obvious cherry pick.
in Spanish negro or negra is a way of describing a black person. Nobody gets offended by this. I call my gf negra when i talk in Spanish lol, she doesn't get offended by this stuff, it just means black.
The n word is used differently in different cultures and countries. I think its only offensive in Britain or America.
East European counteries are full of extreme racist savages, you only have to watch à game of football and see how coins are pelted are black, Brown and asian players and racist chants shouted
you are a racist yourself, all you do is throw mud at eastern Europeans, you should be banned. You're a bigot.
Vitali quit against Chris Byrd who, at the age of 18 was fighting as a welterweight! Vitali did sustain an injury in that fight but take a look at Danny Williams - he won the Euro belt with a dislocated shoulder. Vitali got injured and quit like Victor Ortiz.
Vitali also avoided David Haye since September 2011. He later said he'd fight the winner of Haye vs Chisora but instead disappeared in to obscurity following Haye's technical knockout of Chisora - something Vitali was incapable of achieving when he fought Chisora. I think he knew Haye's speed was too much of a threat to him because, if you remember, in the post-fight interview of the Chisora fight, Vitali admitted that if Chisora was a faster fighter then Vitali would have been in trouble.
I used to be a big fan of Vitali and, although I'm still a fan and I'd tune in to his fights if he ever resumes his boxing career, he did lose a marginal amount of respect for some his actions during his career.
So did you lose respect for Vitali?
would you also lose respect for a guy who fells down, breaks a leg and just keeps lying there instead of running to the hospital? lol
Because hugging/leaning your way through every fight isn't "boxing".
so now Povetkin fight become every fight? lol
when did Wlad hug Wach, for example?
Povetkin initiated all the clinches himself. He did same thing against Huck. Just jumped under his armpit.
http://i.minus.com/ibbKpp5g9PTR5P.gif This era in a nutshell lol
this gif shows that Povetkin vs Wladimir fight was staged. They just split the money and never even wanted to hurt one another.
Wlad isn't even blocking and Povetkin is trying to miss. Just hits air on purpose.
That was they're ranking at the time of each fight, my rather slow, dull friend. :dunce:
so? it means nothing at all, what a stupid poster!
how does any of this prove that one era is better then another?
lol
According to your logic Lous' and Tyson's eras are the strongest, when most boxing experts agree that they are the weakest.
Why would an era be strong if mediocre fighters are ranked in top 10 by ring magazine and lightweight Sphinks is HW champ. Wouldn't it mean that the era is weak? lol
Some of the fighter Holmes fought were ranked in top 10 but were awful, for example Snipes. The guy even lost to Norris, who was later KOed by Vitaly's jab in 1st round lol
The only thing this list shows is that Tyson and Luis fought higher ranked contenders then other champs, but not by much. And you can't prove that the fighters they fought are better then modern fighters.
numbers on the list are probably made up. You didn't post any links to support your argument, which does not prove anything anyway.
Where's Lennox on that list? the numbers didn't fit your agenda?
Where's Marciano? Ali? Foreman? Johnson? Patterson
you are not a very logical person, just a hater or a troll
Also, before major fights, fighters appear on top of the Ring's ratings all of a sudden, it just shows how corrupt the ring is in the first place.
There's no way you can legitimately prove that one era is better then another.
You can only have a subjective opinion.
I don't need links, it was my research alone. And anyone can check up on it since I told everyone exactly how I came to each point. If you doubt me feel free to check it out and stop acting feeble minded.
That's what I'm talking about, you made the whole thing up just to discredit Klitschkos.
end of thread, another troll owned
So we've had this conversation a million times. I'm adamant todays era sucks because fighters don't fight one another and the champion (and his titlist brother) do not often enough fight the best fighters. so I've done a little research and selected the Klits and 3 fighters who people say their era was weak. Now lets remember, ANY fighter can only fight who's there to fight, I've never blamed either brother for that. Now, head to head means nothing in this thread, it doesn't prove anything because its just a fantasy fight.
So, for the purpose of this thread I've used The Ring's annual rankings. Some ranked contenders may have been missed because rhese are year end rankings, but it's an even playing field for each fighter. Feel free to check my work, I've already double checked it. How this works is I've taken each fighter and listed every top 10 fighter he has fought while being top 10 ranked himself. I did not use ABC champion such as Bruno for Tyson or Schultz foe Wlad because they were not ranked. The only exception I made was ranking Spinks a champion because he was in fact the lineal champ when he fought Tyson. I've used each contenders rank from The Ring and divided that number by number of contender. Champions naturally have a zero and you can figure out the rest.

Make of this what you will, but the facts speak for themselves.
whats all this gibberish?
not sure how putting random numbers next to fighters' names is suppose to prove something.
