The Bradley Pac fights are not happening..I honestly don't really want a Garcia fight against May either..Lara is ready,Mayweather that should be who your looking at,end of story..
Maidana is known as the guy that just beat the "Next Mayweather". Please stop being ignorant. He's far more known than Lara who has no really notable wins that people in the mainstream will care about.
What is Lara's story? How are they going to sell him? Once again, he's a black cuban boxer who doesn't speak English and has no fanbase.
Yeah because the threads on NSB made all the difference :lol1: Remember the time Mayweather faced Pacquiao? LOL...
What world are you in? Seriously?
Dude the fans are the reason we are not getting may Khan.. The reaction from this forum and others were negative.. So yes I believe the fans and this forum has a voice..
Maidana is still not known mainstream bro.. After the Maywrather fight that will change.. Right now maidana is not known..
Lara would appeal to the audience if he was giving a chance to be on inside access with Floyd..People would see clips of other fights he's had,and get to know his fighting style a bit more..There goes the interest to the fight..It's going to be the same thing with Maidana..In all honesty Maidana is not a known guy either..I'll give you he had a more high profile fight then Lara's win against Trout, but I believe they are about the same as being known by the general public..

It being acceptable has a lot to do with it..If we don't make threads like this one,or all of the threads knocking the Khan fight..May would have fought Khan,if so many was not down on it..We are the guy's paying for these fights(well I know I'm one of them),we have a voice..

no he doesnt.
nobody from the mainstream knows him and he doesnt have an exciting style nor the resume, nor the fanbase for floyd to risk such a fight with him.
There is no pressure for floyd to fight him.
None whatsoever. Another nsb created boogeyman for floyd.
Acceptable has nothing to do with it. It's just the reality of the world. It will never be made unless Lara can somehow appeal to a greater audience.

I never suggested or posted you were bashing him or his legacy. No need to feign frustration. I asked about the 3 fights solely in response to your last post.
Its fine that you think Lara is the best fight out there to be made. I would think its also fine if somone disagrees with you or replies by posting the financial reasons why floyd v lara at 154 wont happen.
I can respect that..I just feel it's a weak point..Esp when May makes so much money a fight..Lara can be just as Marketable as Guerrero was,the fight will still do good(it's Mayweather)and May would have giving us(I'm a fan who Orders PPV and spends hard earned money on these fighters)the fights that are the best possible..
I completely understand what guy's are talking about from the business stand point of things..Let's be honest tho,Maidana is not much more popular or gonna make a bigger fight then Lara..I really feel they are comparable in the marketing department..Just that Lara is the better opponent..
The thing is, why is this acceptable?? The best fights should be made.. This has been my only point in this thread, Maywrather vs lara was the best fight could be made.. It's the fight that should have been made..

I'm done with this dumb sh1t bro..I made this thread cause Latta was the best opponent Mayweather could have fought right now.. It was not to hate on him or to bash his legacy.. Guess this is unacceptable to some..

Obviously
I was more asking what you think qualifies as evidence he has more power
I've seen Lara lose more rounds than Floyd, and that Vanes fight was rightfully scored a draw at the time it was stopped.
P Will lost and got beat up, but he did have success and I think that was a P Will far from his best
Lara may be the closest to Floyd skillwise from 140-154
I'll agree with that, but even then I think Andrade could possibly beat Lara
And I'm not 100% convinced Canelo wouldn't beat him. I'd bet on Lara in that fight, but I don't think he has as easy of a time with Saul as Floyd did.
The natural size advantage and I just generally think he hits harder.
I had him 1 round up against Vanes when the fight was stopped, he was getting stronger as the fight went on as well.
He had very little success in patches. That doesn't mean much anyway, PWill (any version) would have success against anyone from 147-154, even if it's in patches (like against Lara).
Lara would school Canelo imo.
It's my opinion. It's impossible for me to physically prove it to you.
I know Vanes did well against him (still lost/was losing imo), what's your point? Fighters have done against Floyd as well...
And PWill did not do well against him, he got badly beaten up.
Like I said I think Floyd is a better boxer than him, but they're not worlds apart.

No one is questioning Lara's credentials as a fighter. Only a complete nuthugging fangirl like Burner would try to suggest he's the same as a Maidana.
He's just simply not marketable so he's never going to get a Mayweather fight unless the options become REALLY thin.

How do you figure he has the power advantage? I don't think there's any way to prove that
Vanes did well against Lara, too....
So did what may have been a shot Williams
And for me, Lara just barely edged most rounds against Trout and dominated a few of them. I thought he won basically every round but it was like 2 solid connects to 1 by Trout. I just don't think skillwise he's on the level of a Rigo or Floyd
Do you believe maidana is on lara level??

Canelo is a GBP fighter, floyd is not. GBP would still be promoting floyd's fights for a percentage(of course it woud be lower) and would still get Lara who would surely get some type of boost in fans fom beating floyd.
Yes, him going up to MW as a ww and beating sergio would've enhanced his legacy. But not doing that doesn't affect his legacy. Bradley and Manny-we know why the fights haven't happened. Lara, respectfully, doesn't bring the same legacy enhancements as beating the others would.
I didn't say he was the the best to ever do it, I said perhaps you realize he is one of the best and that is why you can't see how world class fighters can't beat him.
SO out of a career of 45 fights-the fact he fought ghost, ortiz and canelo after age 34 weighs more heavily on his career ranking than other wins? Thats a tough standard.
I'm done with this dumb sh1t bro..I made this thread cause Latta was the best opponent Mayweather could have fought right now.. It was not to hate on him or to bash his legacy.. Guess this is unacceptable to some..
Roughed up Floyd and cleared 3 rounds tops. Thats how good he is. A guy winning 3 rounds is a victory to you.
I didn't say it was a victory you imbecile. Floyd was pushed in that fight and that's what people want to see, whether he wins or loses.
He certainly has the power advantage.
I did enjoy Lara vs Trout, yes.
We haven't seen Lara ouboxed. Molina didn't outbox Lara, even if you think he beat Lara (I don't think he did), it was by spoiling, not outboxing.
But whatever, you're entitled to your opinion.

That doesn't mean the level of challenge is the same. I guess the Guerrerro/ Canelo fights glossed over the fact that a well past his prime Cotto roughed Mayweather up :lol1:
Keep fighting them slow brawlers Floyd, your fantards will eat it up.

Keep this between me and you Floyd is past his prime as well. Shhh dont tell anyone.
They all clearly lost but they had their moments and for me I felt Judah looked superb until he slowed down.
I don't think its southpaws just certain style of southpaw though Corley from what I remember was quite aggressive for most part.
The weight is a good point, maybe that did have something to do with it and it took him time to adjust.
I definitely feel he has the attributes to push Floyd as good as anybody in the sport right now.
I like Floyd I just struggle massively to give him credit for guys who I feel are just made to make him look amazing. I think the guy beats anybody - Not so sure about Lara but his unwillingness to fight certain guys does my head in.
I have no doubt if he fought these guys people claim he is ducking he would easily beat them. I've just neverstood why he doesn't seemingly want to prove that without any shadow of a doubt he is the best and one of the best ever. His skill level is off the charts he just seems hesitant to fight certain fighters I personally have no doubt he beats.
I really want to see him fight Lara and prove me wrong. I am not saying Floyd can't win that fight but its one that I think is a horrible style match up for him & I'd love to see what he could do in there.
They say jabbing ands outhpaws are the key to beating foyd's style. That he goes to a weight class and fights the "style" that is most difficult in the first fight at the weight could make all the rest of the fights easier.
I think we all know the real reasons why certain fights haven't happened. If the end results of these fights not happening is it reduces floyd's legacy in people's minds-so be it. I can't change how you feel-I just wonder where you and others would see floyd had a prime ODH, shane, manny or cotto fought him rather than choosing to wait until later in their careers.
I don't know that floyd can prove that. I don't know if beating Lara fits in this equation but it would present an interesting challenge.
