Name the top 5 wins of these boxers
Joshua-
GGG-
Wilder-
Kovalev-
Lomachenko-
Mikey Garcia
The problem with boxing today is none wants to put in the damn work anymore!!!
Both joshua and lomachenko have not had the fights yet to knock there record yet, both have impressive wins for how many fights they have had though and both though have proven they want to put in the work to be great already. Although your right in saying at the minute there no all time greats give them time the others though should have better wins.
Floyd is old as ****...how can you expect him not to get hurt in sparring vs a younger, stronger, bigger boxer and one of the best guys in the sport...
This ^^ if floyd was as good as anyone to ever box but the key word there is was, hes now old and and retired his last real fight was 3 year
The great Erik Morales was asked this and his answer was roughly this:
I worked hard my whole life, sparring round after round fighting round after round to finally make it to the top and be known in this sport. I Finally have the name recognition to demand big purses and you're asking me to retire? I get paid more now for a.fight than I did my first 20 fights.
Makes sense to me.
He makes a great point how can you expect someone to turn down a yearly wage for an entire town where there from for 36 minutes in the ring.
Too many supposedly easy fights in which prime for prime the opponent stands no chance but the a side is so far past their prime the fight should never happen which is often combined with a fan base who cant let go.
Really want to see this fight so hope I'm wrong but how often has Rigo wanted a fight and then asked for stupid money, the article says hes willing to fight at 130 for the right terms. Until there's an actual back and forward between promoters to see what hes after its that flaky a statement he might as well said for the right money he would fight Joshua at heavyweight.
This fight steals all the attention from the Canelo GGG fight which should be the far bigger fight but it wouldnt be a shock to me if Mayweather McGregor outsells it 4 to 1 or more. Canelo GGG is the fight boxing fans want and will buy but 2 poor english speakers is a hard sell to the non boxing/casual market whereas for getting media attention and generating interest in non boxing/casual fans (the people who generate the big ppv numbers) Mayweather McGregor is an absolute dream fight. We all know its **** as McGregor wont land a meaningful hit but dont be surprised if this challenges the Mayweather Pac ppv record as idiots will think McGregor coming from mma will turn it into the fight they thought May Pac would be.
He says he the fans don't care about the split which is true but most are realistic enough to see that the man making 3 times the others average purse is not going to fight on an equal split.
It wasn't so much his opposition more the way he that he had been winning that created his hype (supposedly a mini mike tyson), people expected him to blast out Calzaghe and go on to dominate the division but instead he got played with and the win now gets downplayed. Which is common when boxing fans look back at fighters records a big name on the downward spiral is always looked upon better as a fighter on the crest of a wave that is beaten and never reaches that level again.
Ortiz is no where near the fighter that people on here have made him out to be, but its wilders best win by some distance and he beats parker easily. Never thoght i would say it either but if Joshua is 18 stone Wilder takes that fight if Joshua is 17 stone (therabouts) then he wins
AJ’s the guy who said “Wait until 2019 or 2020, Deontay has more pro experience than me.”
Doesn’t paint a picture of a guy who really wants the fight.
Then his promoter tries to put Dillian Whyte up as an obstacle, and Wilder’s team called the bluff and said “Yes, absolutely, as long as the contract says Wilder gets AJ next, guaranteed, if he wins.” And Hearn responded with “It doesn’t work that way.”
Now that there’s some heat on them for seeming to want to avoid a unification, AJ’s side is saying the right things. It would be better if AJ himself said it, but it’s a start.
Both of their schedules are clear, it should be next. But we all know it won’t be.
What I don’t get are those who are concerned about how much or what percentage Wilder will get. I wanted Canelo-GGG and I didn’t give a tinker’s damn about who was making how much — I wanted to see the fight. Same here. Those who are more worried about purse splits than making the only meaningful fight in the heavyweight division puzzle me.
He has in his latest IFL interview on youtube he says Whytes got nothing to do with him he cant stand him and says a lot about both Parker and Wilder saying they want a fight but no one has sent an offer to him, send him an offer and if Joshuas team cant make a better offer they can fight on their terms if not it will be on his.
There are levels to boxing but there is also the old saying that styles makes fights. I think Margarito would have been interesting. Gun to my head I'd pick Mayweather, hell, just ask me I'd pick Mayweather, but that was a real missed opportunity for his career. Not because it'd make a lot of money and enhance his legacy, but because I feel we would have seen Floyd pull out some new tools. People point to Paul Williams too and while on paper it looks interesting PWill never fought tall and probably wouldnt be able to trouble Mayweather at all.
When the fight was offered Floyd fought Baldomir to set up the De La Hoya fight and at the time Baldomir was WBC, the Ring and Lineal champ. I find it hard to criticise the route he went down and find it strange that moving up to fight De La Hoya at a weight which was an obvious disadvantage is not given more credit than a fight with Margarito would have.
Surely the winner of that fight should fight Whyte to create a mandatory for Wilder given that hes ranked highest active fighter on their own rankings after Stiverne however that crapshoot works
Spzilika/Breazeale is better than Whyte/Chisora lol, and that was hyped and all over the news in the UK
It just isnt at all, while the level of boxing is nothing to shout about in either Whyte gave Joshua a harder test than Breazeale and Spzilika Chisora would be a toss up but Chisora has been in with way better fighters as Spzilika although hes yet to beat any. The only reason anyone was interested in the Whyte Chisora fight though was they were two local heavyweights who hated each other and wanted to go to war, Spzilika Breazeale is a boring fight with no history
MMA idiots are blinded by McGregors punching and think hes going to KO Mayweather this is supposedly amounting to 80% of bets so far (according to Paddy Power anyway), Mayweather being 9/1 only reflects the fact that the bookies are trying to balance their books by taking more bets on him. Personally it wouldn't come as shock if his odds come in more as more people thinking McGregors got a punchers chance have a punt compared to people thinking Mayweathers odds are giving little return.
More chance of hitting the moon with a snowball as this happening, neither are going to do a gloves are off with him and help him promote this car crash of a fight on ITV.
-Hearn is basically selling £40 face value tickets for the Haye vs Klitschko fight for £120:burnup::burnup::burnup::burnup:
Here is the proof. https://www.stubhub.co.uk/joshuaklitschkoThese are not normal people reselling their tickets to make a quick buck, this is Matchroom selling tickets at inflated prices via StubHub.
However, when he shows the books to his fighters, he will pay them their purses based on £40 of revenue from a ticket he actually sold for £120. £80 per ticket, after Stubhubs fees goes straight into Hearn's back pocket. Joshua has caught wind of this and now also receives a slice of the StubHub pie.
Hearn is more slimy then Bob Arum. This is why the elite fighters in UK boxing, Frampton, Khan, Haye and DeGale, who actually have proper financial advisers, unlike the council estate scum like Froch, Crolla, Bellew and Brook, don't sign promotional deals with him.
Have you ever asked yourself why Haymon was so against DeGale signing a managerial deal with Al Haymon? Because, any accountant or someone with a bit of financial knowledge knows that there is serious money being siphoned of by Matchroom, that rightfully belongs to boxers.
This was Hearns reaction to DeGale signing with Haymon:
"I'm their UK promoter...I'm involved with the decision-making, but nowhere near as much as I previously was...got a couple fights left with both of them...I don't really agree with a lot of the things they're doing, but they're making good money...my advice to any fighter is be as close to me as you can because it means I'm going to work a lot harder for you,"

The fact is, Hearn can easily negotiate with thick idiots like Kell Brook's step dad, who didn't even pass high school. But when he has someone like Al Haymon, or any other manager with some financial knowledge across the negotiating table, he crumbles under pressure and gets pissed off, which is evident in his iFLtv interviews.
It is only a matter of time, before Eddie Hearn garners the same public opinion as the Bob Arum's of this world.
How do you know that its matchroom selling the tickets exactly.
Kell wanted the fight because he thought he could win it, interviews he made long before the fight show this and due to his lack of big name fights at welterweight and the fact that he wanted to 1 up what khan did with canelo GGG was the obvious choice. Eddie got him this fight dunno why anyone has any problem with either.
It was never going to do big numbers. That's why I said back in May or June, during the first time they tried to negotiate with Walters, that you can't pay both of them $1M each. People were outraged by the split and were demanding it should be split evenly and both fighters should make 850K each or 1M each and there just isn't that kind of money in this type of weight class with these two fighters. Walters last fight with Sosa did around 300K viewers on HBO and Lomachenko's last fight with Roman Martinez avg. 585K viewers. On the bright side you could say that 715K or w/e this fight got, is an improvement. But these low numbers are what you should expect from these two fighters.
Not a bad improvement and as hes only had 8 fights most casual fans still won't know who he is, which will explain the talk from Arum about a possible Pac fight. I would imagine his viewing figures will start to rise fairly quickly now as more people start to listen to the hype.
Yes i would, if am acting desperate and my resume is thin with no one of note on it? Yes i would KO my bitter rival and make a name for myself, Money wouldn't even come into it.
The problem with taking the fight for that split would be that Khan will forever be going on about how he won the negotiations and Brook was stupid to accept such a paltry split
Why does that matter if and when he destroys Khan? Amanda Nunes just KTFO Rousey who made 3million compare to her 160K or so, Do you see Rousey celebrating getting paid more? Nah
The rivalry between them is such that neither is going to accept the other getting one over on them to such an extent, as much as fans dont want it to be boxing is still a business.

so Joshua goes 16-5(13) against Wlad's last 21 were Wlad went 20-1(14)
Wlad would go 18-0(18) against Joshua's opponents
Both Fury and Haye will lose Joshua and the other 3 you have winning are questionable at best lets see how April 29th goes.
9-0, 18-0....same thing. the point is that saunders had fought a gauntlet of the who's who in boxing at that point
haha fair point god only knows how it wasnt for a world championship after them fights
