I don't post much these days but it does amaze me that people are still doubting, scrutinizing, and hating on Mayweather.
I don't understand why you can't simply give the guy credit as the best of this era, 50-0. The fact of the matter is every fighter you claimed would beat him got dominated when they stepped in the ring with Floyd. So many of you claim you know boxing, you say you understand there are levels to this game, yet you still denied and played down Floyd's abilities.
Fact is you should of realized by 1998 there was no other active fighter on his level. No fighter in his era has ever come close to matching his skill and talent yet for 20 years you bet against him, told casuals he'd lose to what we now know to be lesser fighters and even today you still posting nonsense.
You watched an entire career, watched a guy make history, and even then you still dont know **** about boxing!
Pity
Floyd knew when it was time:
Mayweather said Pacquiao-Bradley II was the first time he had watched his rival since that fight against Cotto, which also was Pacquiao's last knockout victory.
.
Great post.
in 2010?
Floyd was hittable while Manny was steam rolling thru his opponents.

Floyd got hit like what...2 times in 2010???
Then there was a thread of Floyd actually admitting on stalling the Pacquiao fight to increas e the Venue.
"It's all about timing, I waited for the right time (May-pac) for it to happen, so I made a 60 million dollar fight to a 600 million one.) - Floyd Mayweather.
Floyd knew when it was time:
Mayweather said Pacquiao-Bradley II was the first time he had watched his rival since that fight against Cotto, which also was Pacquiao's last knockout victory.
"I don't see the same pop in Pacquiao's shots -- me, myself, I don't see the same snap in his shots," Mayweather said before.
"He's getting tired and he wasn't getting tired before. So, I mean, I'm seeing something totally different. Whereas me, I'm still sharp, I'm still smart, I'm not getting fatigued, I wasn't getting fatigued from the beginning.
"Those are the things that I see. I don't know if you guys see it but that's what I see."
- Floyd Mayweather
.
Pac would of had an even worse chance in 2010, you forget Pac could barely handle Marquez, I gave him no chance to beat a prime Mayweather, not sure why you think Pac would fare any differen't. Pac has never been a cerebral fighter and that's what he would of had to be to compete with Floyd.

Mayweather did things his way for better or worse. I takes a lot of guts to break away from the conventional way of doing things. Yes he was a great boxer. I certainly enjoyed watching him when he was Pretty Boy Floyd. Not so much as Money May. I have my own views about the PAC May fight but I don't want to derail the thread. Congratulations Floyd for a great career.
Floyd will never get the same credit as the old legends simply because he fought in the age of internet where every fighter has a ton of haters who spit on him which then changes the perception of this fighter.
Every single elite fighter has more haters than fans these days. Fanboys usually like 3 or 4 fighters and **** on dozens of other fighters. So it's inevitable that all the negative attention is going to tarnish the reputation of fighters to at least some extent.
It's not just Floyd, ask about any elite fighter of this era and these are the majority of the responses you're going to get online...
"Klitschko? Weak era, weak chin, got exposed by Fury..."
"Pacquiao? Lost many times, catchweights, KO6, PEDs..."
"Golovkin? Fought bums, lost to Jacobs/Canelo, no defense, stiff..."
"Ward? Cheat, headbutts..."
Ali was lucky that there was no internet back then. We live in a negative and pessimistic era where people just don't want to give credit to anybody.
I disagree. The fact that he agreed to be tested ost up to a 20 day cutoff dispels that notion, then actually conceded to a 15 day cutoff.
Why a cutoff at all even Freddis Roach said 1st fight in 2010 was THEIR fault for not happing. Its on youtube the interview.Scared of needles????????dude has more tats then whole biker gang lol. That right there his 1st response was a tell.

Agree a lot of people missed a GREAT fighter by being blind to their hate. And I can see why you don't like him outside of ring(sometimes I wanna tell him to STFU)but he was a ATG inside the ring and it aint even close.
And if that's the case then Pac should of taken the test with no hesitation. He was clearly "shook" at the thought of taking random drug tests and none of us are dumb enough to believe his fear was for any reason other than being caught using roids!

And what is your point other than Pac is who Floyd suspected is on roids? I know one thing Pac certainly behaved as if he was!
there is no point. I have an opinion that you disagree with...and you tried to refute it using conjecture, and here we are.
no, I'm saying Floyd sr was the first one I recall bringing it up, then others came out of the woodwork. how is it that you're sure about what Floyd thinks and when he decided he wanted to champion drug testing? baseless speculation aside, what I remember is him never saying anything about extra testing until the proposed fight with pac.

Floyd Sr says many things, you think just cause Sr says it Floyd does it? Maybe back when Floyd was 15...I'm sure Floyd got the opinions of many who know the effects of steroids before he went public with his announcement for drug testing. Let's not forget that the BALCO scandal was not a forgotten thing at that time in boxing.

I agree with this.
Only change I saw in Pac was, him developing his right hand when he mainly used the straight left, and his footwork.

you could look at it that way...but I don't recall any of these other people in boxing saying anything until Floyd sr brought it up. the whole 'team mayweather was speaking for the boxing community' is a convenient narrative only corroborated by hear-say and rumors. Floyd sr seemed genuinely worried about Floyd getting in with a juiced pac...which kinda went against all their tough talk. I'm all for a level playing field, and I feel like pac was on something...but it's funny how it only came up when Floyd was pressured to fight a tough opponent. he forced his own hand to double down on the testing from that point forward...I'm not convinced Floyd champions drug testing without pac in the picture.

I disagree, the whole reason it came to light is there were enough people in boxing who suspected Pac was on steroids, Floyd's team is simply the first to act on the rumor which I give them nothing but credit for doing.
Also Floyd is not an Arum fighter, he did not have to accept a fight with a roided Pac as most of Pac's previous Top Rank opponents had.

In before
Paul Williams would have beat him (got sparked by Sergio Martinez)
Castillo beat him (close fight that could have gone either way)
He ducked Hamed (called Hamed out, Manny Steward refused the fight, documented)
Paul Spadafora would have beat him (debatable, since he went the distance with Angel Manfredy, a guy both Corrales and Floyd stopped)
Margacheato would have beat him (with plaster wraps, probably)
He ducked Manny in 2009 (despite Roach being on record as saying Manny ducked the fight due to the drug testing)
Manny won the fight (despite Roach being on record as saying Manny lost)
Maidana won the first fight/Kenny Bayless helped Floyd the second fight (despite the fact that both fights, Maidana got dominated the second half)
He sucker punched Ortiz (ignore that Ortiz intentionally head butted in the corner)
Just getting it out the way.
Well done cabron :luvbed::luvbed::luvbed::luvbed:
