Chris Eubank Sr., father and trainer of IBO super middleweight world champion Chris Eubank Jr., can't see any way that his son can be defeated by the likes of WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, IBO/WBA/WBC/IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Andre Ward. These UK guys are quite delusional. Wonder if it's a cultural thing there to overvalue your worth. Khan, Saunders, now eubank/ sr all think way too highly of themselves.
Don't forget Brook...
From what I have seen Eubank Jr seems to have difficulty dealing with a good jab. With that in mind how would he beat either Ward or Golovkin? Eubank Jr has also beaten basically nobody. Chudinov is probably the only one most people have even heard of.
Well lets sub "David Haye" for Eubanks in the above: So Haye decides to hire another trainer, soon it becomes apparent that David Haye, has been taught and trained to fight in a very specific manner. By essentially being an ambush fighter, Haye is trained to fight maybe once a year or so, and during any fight get a certain average amount of chances to connect with his punch...To train to box in a more productive manner now? probably a BIG PROBLEM and doubtful it could happen.
By contrast Eubanks? He goes to a trainer who can show him how to develop a strategy to implement against a good jabber, then the trainer can also, while teaching to defend against it, teach Eubanks HOW to throw a jab that works for his style. As a young fighter Eubanks can still learn to box if he fights enough and is willing to take risks to develop. he has good tendencies as a puncher and a good work ethic, he can still be taught.
Junior has talent. It always kind of amazes me, considering the odds, how son of {frazier, (daughter of Ali), Chavez, Camacho, Ben,,,etc etc etc} can become even decent pro fighters, even with the constant help, the nurturing and knowledge of a professional, even growing up in a fighting family (The Spinks brothers and little Cory for example!), to actually show elite talent as a professional prize fighter is amazing.
People say the most god awful things about Chavez junior for example, but the guy has had a decent career and has talked himself into getting a major payday, and probably a whipping, from the Ginger! What are the odds that the genes and teaching are sufficient to create that situation when we have more than a billion people in the world?
Now with regards to Eubanks the kid...he is a talented fighter. It DOES seem that across the pond has their own little clique, divisions, fighters, that tend to ghettoize talent... That has always been a problem, it is why Calzighe never had to answer to the great fighters over here in his day... Europeans in general carry their fighters well! Its a great thing and a curse!
Puerto Ricans also carry their fighters well and along with Cuba have a knowlegable fan base and probably produce more great fighters per capita than any other nation...But traditionally no Puerto Rican fighter gets away with just fighting in the Latino circuit!
I think that this kid has the talent to do what his dad and a lot of other great fighters across the pond did not do: and fight the guys who are the best. I also think there was and still is, no way he is ready for the best just yet. If he is smart take a page out of Derrick Chisora's handbook....
Yes Chisora!!! Eubanks is already ahead of the game because he lost his "0" losses...Nothing better can happen for a young talented guy...Hatton's need to not lose for example, produced a dry humping skeleton of a fighter, afraid to fight like he did against Zoo. And when he finally fought Floyd, he had become a humper and holder. Eubanks has lost his cherry!!! Great!! now like Chisora, fight everyone. Fight lots and lots of people and get experience, then, in a year or so, start refining and going after legacy fights. learn how to beat a great puncher and take triple G out at the twilight.
Chisora and Judah for that matter, are two guys who on any given day could find themselves fighting for another championship. Chisora has fought the best in the division, and even in losing, has always been competative. Judah is always a danger. If Eubanks looked at these guys as a model he would do well for himself and avoid the curse of his dad, who became essentially a British league fighter lol.

Eubank Sr is doing what any father would do, and as Eubanks Sr said you have to think "crazy" to be world champion. At least he's confident and looks like he means serious business this time. Unlike, BJS..."I'd need an AK47 against GGG" or "I'm not ready". I'm telling you all, Eubank did a great thing when he partnered with ITV, it's great for boxing fans and less monopoly in the future. Warren & Hearns have already softened their stance towards Eubank. There's method to his madness.
Well said. Hearn and Warren are butthurt after ITV did ok.

Where will SR. get his silly suits from now?
I like different .odd folk don't we all ?.... This guy makes no sense
Jr. won't do it .... It's a Amir Khan smash and grab ...get real.
I agree. its an existential world... When the going gets rough I doubt Warren will remember the first steps Chris took when he started walking, the first smile...or the first time "I love you dad" was said. Its tough to see our kids put up with the BS that makes this world a bad place, but its really tough having to do the job right as parent... And Eubanks senior may be a looney tune but damn if he aint a hundred on that point: Trusting a man of the world to see to the interests of that which you love is a fool's gold.
A real gangster knows that he cracks the whip hard because he does it with the right intention.
Great post, sums up my thoughts in a nutshell
no, even they cant. Noone can beat chris eubank jr (apart from saunders)
Not any more! Eubank Sr has added BJS to the list of fighters who can't beat his son.

If Eubank Junior had the punching power of his father, i would probably have to agree with his statements. But unfortunately in my opinion he has mediocre punching power! and at elite level, when you are competing against fighters who can cut your work rate down? this will make things difficult for him up against certain fighters, who love to fight increments. Hopefully, so how Junior can improve his power! because its the only thing holding him back...
Eubank Sr is correct. Only people who beat Eubank jr are Luis Ortiz, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.
How dare you go against the math of Chris Eubank Senya?? Don't you know he's up there with geniuses like Pythagoras, Sir Isaac newton, Archimedes and that n***a "L" from Death Note? The blasphemy around these forums smh.
Eubanks still trying tipo talk their way to a big fightwjthout beating anyone.
But he just beat quinkon so a good start. But I do bekiebve eubank has all the talent. But maybe beat someone first, then self porockaim. Because u said u beatr bjs so what happened
