Anybody to tries to downplay the prime of Jones Jr... Is either Idiotic, overly Critical, or down right Moronic. Jones fought the top opposition at the time, and from what I remember Jones biggest Duck was McClellan. Fourtanitly damn near every Junior Middleweight/Middleweight were clearly frightened of McClellen.
Jones although for from the greatest technician but his physical gifts made up for a lack of well rounded boxing technique. The man was a monster and beat damn near every top fighter in his weightclass.
Agreed. Anyone saying that a man who fought and beat both Toney and Hopkins had sub par opposition is an idiot.
I would have it as more of an upset. While Foreman was a killer it was the classic young lion vs old dog type fight. Khan moving up two weight classes to fight a huge guy, all the while having a sh1te chin would make it even more upsetting in my eyes.
Stylistically BJS would give GGG the most trouble. He was very good feet and technique. In reality though Canelo's experience, size and power would make him the most competitive vs GGG.
He's not what I would describe as slick. For me, a slick fighter makes his opponent miss with upper body movement while in the pocket. Golovkin doesn't do that.
Lara or Cotto :lol1:
Gary Corcoran it is.
Just wait till we get a "huge domestic dust-up" with Brian Rose. :lol1: :lol1:
Nah he fought two months back, he is gunning for this fake champs belt which doesn't belong to him :boxing:
Jesus, that went under the radar. Didn't even hear about that. Would be good to see him back and mixing in the division, or even up at middleweight.
I know Saunders is slick, but by coming forward, even Eubank Jr who doesn't even have a jab could land on him. Lee has to actually come forward, cut off the ring and try and take his head off.
Oh look the fake world champ defended his belt that was gifted to him, stolen from yours truly Andrade, watch this b1tch avoid Andrade name in his post fight interview... scumbag!
Isn't Andrade retired?
Great news for fans. Massive props to Ward for moving up and taking the challenge. We need more fights like this. If we get Canelo-GGG too, we're in for a treat.
Hopefully GGG gets to fight Canelo and BJS within the next year to unify the division and then move up and test himself at 168. That should put most of his doubters to bed.
I wouldn't be shocked if Khan wins the first three rounds and gets stopped in the fourth. I'd be surprised if Khan heard the final bell without resorting to outright running and I'd be gobsmacked if he goes 12 without being dropped.
The really cringey bit is when they tried to paint Khan as some hero of the British public. This is the guy who got booed at Wembley during Froch-Groves II. Aside from that it wasn't too bad, just the usual promotional shpeel.
Brook will move up before he fights Spence. Brook and the rest of the U.K. "champs" hold the belts hostage and only fight bum mandatories and bum voluntaries.
Agreed. Fury defending his titles versus bum Klitschko, Frampton defending against bum Quigg, McDonnell travelling to defending against bum Kameda (twice) and Selby going to America to beat Montiel. Classic tea drinkers always fighting bums at home.
