While I think Diaconu is a threat to any lhw.He has it at a serious height and reach disadvantage.I think that Dawson's handspeed and brillant combonation punching would be too much for Diaconu.Before anyone thinks I'm jumping on the Dawson bandwagon, I still think that his chin is fragile and I believe he lost to Glen Johnson.Having just watched the Tarver-Dawson fight I think it calls into question this supposed one punch ko power of Tarver.He never seemed to even come close to hurting Dawson who was dropped by the light hitting Eric Harding and was badly hurt a few times by Johnson who isn't supposed to be a big hitter yet Tarver landed cleanly on him a few times and didn't rattle him.
Although I feel that Tarver is very average he has always fought the best fighters.He gave it his all but it wasn't enough against the young lion who is fast as a cheetah.
I voted no but I think that Dawson should want a rematch with Johnson to prove his is better although I felt that Johnson was the better man in the first fight.I had it 115-113 for Johnson.I think that Dawson should be a better fighter cuz of that fight and should know how to beat Johnson now.A clear win over Johnson would help people get a better picture of just how good Dawson is.
I don't think he would have been ko'd in the 9th had he come out for the that round.More than likely he would have just kept taking a beating cuz I don't think that he would have turned it around with a single punch cuz of Vitali's very solid chin.It is possible that Vitali could have stopped him on his feet in the next round or two but there is no way of knowing that.
Cotto is the better boxer of the two.Trinidad the better puncher.Niether fighter has a great chin.Cotto probably dominates the early rounds and might even score a knockdown but as the fight progresses the greater strength and power of Tito takes over.Trinidad KO 9.
Anyone that is associated with Manny Steward has to be pretty good.If Manny didn't think that Banks could beat Castillo I don't think they would put him in against him.My pick Banks W10.
Spinks has to fight at 154 first before you say he is the elite.I like his chances against Karmizan tonight.I think he can hang with almost anybody at 154.I won't go as far as to say he beats them all but he is at that level without a doubt.
There is no real champ at hw currently.Wlad is being viewed as the best at the moment, but with his weak chin and questionable stamina he could be knocked off the top anytime.Possibly by Shannon Briggs.
I picked Ward and Dirrell because they did well in the Olympics and most of the time olympic success translates into pro success.I doubt Estrada amounts to much more than a fringe contender.When he lost in the olympics he didn't act like it mattered.I don't know much about the others to say if they will someday be a world champ or not.
This is a very interesting fight.I picked Quintana by ud but this is a pick em fight.Both are very good fighters.Carlos may not be ready for Marg as this point.He may be getting rushed into a fight that he isn't ready for like Cintron but I think he's ready and it will all come down to who is the better fighter.
This will be a chance for Hill to gain revenge for his first loss.Hill is old but he isn't as old as Hearns and hasn't been in the wars that Tommy has.
I had never seen Viloria but had high expectations of him coming into this fight.He did not show the power I had heard of him having.Nino had been stopped in both of his losses he seemed like a fighter picked to make Viloria looked good but instead came to win and got the upset.Hopefully Viloria will learn from this and get better.Time will tell.
He should fight Fres Oquendo.Fres gave Byrd all he could handle and I felt won the fight.Fres is a name at hw and would be a good win for Brock as he waits for his title shot.
I've watched both broadcasts of OLN Fight Night and they have both been very good.Even matchups and good fights as the result of it.The first broadcast was overall better.Thompson-Said and Pavlik-McKart were good fights.The main event of last nighs fight night was a bit lackluster but the co-main event Bojorquez-Zertuch was very good.As long as they keep these good cards up I'll keep watching.
Based on pure skill and talent Mayweather is the better fighter.DLH has fought the best fighters of his era that is no question but in the end it comes down to just them and Mayweather is the better fighter and would beat DLH by clear UD.
