David Tua's body punching impressed me last night. he doesnt have anything going in terms of footwork, but he works those bodyshots well and that left to the body that finished Gutierrez was impressive
i feel like there's a fair amount of parrallels between toney's fight with peter and the ali foreman matchup way back when. is this a completely ridiculous thing to think? .
yes it is.to each their own though. i just dont see the comparison
I was just making a tounge-in-cheek comment on the quote about DLH making $10 million a fight and UFC guys will eventually want alot for each fight. Surely there are alot of PPVs that UFC beats out in terms of buys, but that was strickly a joke at the guy who mentioned DLH's name and referenced that UFC did "as good or better" than his PPVs. Laughable.
no it isnt. UFC's PPV numbers are growing by leaps and bounds. Laugh now but they have their shit together marketing wise and are still growing. They are drawing huge numbers for SPIKE TV too.
i think forrest had better show a lot more movement than his last bout. He was a stationary target it seemed to me at times against Garcia and even a older Ike can take care of business if that was the case. Im probably wrong on this but im taking Ike by KO
"grady brewer" dosent even know how to throw a proper punch..michael stewart got destroyed by shambra mitchell and made him look like a power puncher
come back when you can talk boxing and not flame. those guys are good fighters. they arent bums. having seen your previous work though in terms of NSB threads, maybe you should just quit
just got here...
Viloria lost ?
fukin upset or what ?
yeah it was. Brian didnt show up to fight. Quite a timid evening from him. The most exciting part of his night was the Hawaii 5-0 entrance theme
The fight is a toss up in my eyes until I see them at the weigh in and see how each is looking since weight is such an important factor in both of them.
ill second that notion ,especially for toney.
I still don't understand why you're going on about this.
Like I asked before, why as a fan of Ouma would you want to see him fight Wright?
He's a weight class up, doesn't have a title, isn't a big money fight and is a risky opponent.
It doesn't make sesnse.
This is a good fight with a hot prospect and he should be looking at the Vargas Mosley winner.
questions is would the vargas winner look at them? i think whomever would win this should go try and get the belt from the winner of karmazin/spinks
All you have to do is take a few JUDO lessons or Brazilian Ju JITSU classes, be somewhat strong, and you can get a few MMA victories under your belt.
.
goddamn you're a good troll fatty
Technically, its probably good if no one buys it because then promoters realize people arent just going to buy a fight because its on PPV. If we buy weak cards, promoters will continue to give us that. This fight will be entertaining no doubt and ill probably get it, but its not a card that deserves to be on PPV.
i disagree. not only should the main event be entertaining, you also get to see Kermit Cintron pick up another KO win against Jesse Feliciano and a very good 154 lb fight between ex titleists Alejandro Garcia and Roman Karmazin. and if they show 4 fights, you'll probably get to see Jason Litzau. Not the best card in the worls, but not the worst either. If you had to choose between buying this and Hatton/Mayweather though, id wait on Dec 8th
Hard to tell, both of them are extremely protected fighters with resumes full of tomato cans, guys with 6 or more losses in a row.
totally disagree here. neither guy has fought great competition but peterson has at least fought some legit guys like humberto toledo and john brown while mesquita's best opponent is santos pakau, the guy who was annihilated by paul williams a while back. im taking peterson to win
