Edison Miranda v David Banks?

Can't wait to see Pantera back in action......I still haven't seen the Porras fight so my last memories of him are from the Pavlik fight......:nonono: I hear ya man. I still have nightmares! Bonilla is saying he is training as hard as ever for this fight as he wants to impress on TV at 168lbs. Most people didnt see the Porras fight, so this is an important message he will need to send to get the Pavik fight out of their minds. I think HBO/SHO are going to judge him hard on how he looks to decide if he gets another shot at a big fight on their network.

why do people still think Miranda is so good? When someone else loses everyone talks sh!t, but everyone just loves this fukin guy becase his "life story." Miranda isnt nothing special. Hes a decent fighter with pretty good but overrated power. He got one 1st rond KO and everyone got all excited. He scored all his KOs in Colombia and came to the USA and didnt scored a KO for a long time while fighting bums. He has good power but it is overrated. He should beat Banks easily becase Banks is nothing special, but i just find it funny how people talk about Miranda like he is an elite fighter or something.

Yea, I could see 1-2 rounds where Banks survives and might even steal a round. But before too long Miranda will hit him flush and hard and he will be running for his life. I expect another stoppage where Banks is hiding in the corner getting bombarded with power shots and the ref saves him. The Banks matchup is better than the one they had before with Pantera facing McCrary. It was probably a good idea for McCrary to pull out seeing how easy he is to hit and Miranda would have seriously hurt him. I think Banks will have his moments, but not much as Pantera's power will catch up to Banks sooner or later. I say KO 5 Pantera.

Banks is definitely in for a real beating, that is if he stays around long enough to take one... After Edison "Pantera" Miranda destroys David Banks I assume there will be a match-up between himself and the other fighter on the next FNF's Jean Pascal who's facing a guy with pretty much the same record as Banks, just more KO's... David Banks only has 2 career KO's so I don't even see where he stands a chance here... Also how does Boxrec have Manfredo ranked above Miranda and Pascal??? Those two have seriously heavy hands and if they fight each other next, it may very well be a fight of the year candidate in 2008 IMO...

David Banks didn't look too bad in his last fight but damn Miranda mos def is a step up in opponents. If Banks can fight to a decision that would be good.

He is moving up in weight class and HBO told him to get 1-2 tune ups under his belt before they want him back on the network. And like someone just said, ESPN pays very little, so your not gonna get two top guys fighting. Expect Pantera back in the ring fighting 'anybody, anywhere' once again after he disposes of David Banks. Yeah I know what you mean. It would be nice he he could fight Bika.

How can you go from the future of the middleweight divison to fighting a contender loser. I know Miranda can find a better opponent than that. Btw did Banks lose to the one guy twice? He is moving up in weight class and HBO told him to get 1-2 tune ups under his belt before they want him back on the network. has Banks got a death wish or something? i think he might, i saw bits of that shitty fight he lost to Paul smith on the contender, doubt he can handle miranda's power.

It's a tune up fight to build for a match with that unbeaten French Canadian who is also fighting next week. It's a pretty decent fight considering how little ESPN pays. Banks also deserves credit for stepping up and trying.

Banks gets hit a lot, but his chin is solid. It should be interesting for four to five rounds. Banks is not in Miranda's league.
