many of you don't understand boxing at all, you are not suppose to LET someone hit you, sure it is entertaining but a great fighter would also know how to cut the ring off against a quicker more elusive fighter, go back and watch how Hagler was able to hunt down Hearns and still get the knockout despite struggling with Hearns style in the 1st round, that is what great fighters do, now it seems like fans want guys to fight a certain way just so their favorite fighter can have a better chance of winning

even for the Bradley fight, some people are trying to downgrade Bradley now so if Pacquiao wins they will say "Bradley Was Overrated"
I feel like it is just way too soon, would rather Ward wait and see if Bute wins and then fight him first and same for Dawson, would love to see him fight the winner of Pascal vs Cloud first, but I am a fan of both and I respect both fighters for being willing to take on "THE BEST" which is rare in boxing today
and if they fight at a catch weight, it is really nothing to lose for either fighter, the loser just goes back to his weight class and is still considered the best in his division
in a rematch I don't think Mayweather will bang with Cotto again, Mayweather would box in a rematch so it would end up being a disappointing rematch and Mayweather probably shutting him out

but the Athletic Commission don't want to stop PEDS IN BOXING...WHY? Because they feel it would water down the product, similar to baseball after the steroid ERA when Baseball Players was only hitting 35-40 Homeruns a season compared to 60!

the problem with fight Mayweather...is that what ever Pace Mayweather wants the fight the be...THAT IS WHAT IT IS GOING TO BE! And it is absolutely nothing his opponents can do about it...Sure everybody goes in thinking "I AM GOING TO OUTWORK MAYWEATHER" only to see that it is extremely hard to maintain that Pace for 12 Rounds and only to find out how hard it is to land CLEAN EFFECTIVE PUNCHES ON HIM...it is nothing worse when you are working extra hard, hearing the crowd roar, thinking your doing well only to look up at your opponent and see him smiling at you and/or shaking his head at you tell you "YOUR NOT LANDING ANYTHING"...some fans need to get into a ring and just spar a little so they can have a better understanding of the sport
A JAB? REALLY? Mayweather will give you that Jab ALL NIGHT...because he knows that a Jab alone is not going to beat him, especially when he is coming back with Power Shots and landing them accurately, the Jab is actually suppose to be a setup punch, you throw the jab out there then your suppose to follow it up with something, with Mayweather, you may land the jab, but the rest of the stuff you follow up with likely won't land clean or flush

Cotto Fans, Puerto Ricans...they have a rich history in boxing, they are not NEW TO BOXING like a lot of Pacquiao fans and even many Hatton fans during the build up of his fight with Mayweather

Why would Calzaghe avoid Hopkins? Just look at their fight in 2008. Hopkins was well past his physical prime and even at 43-years-old you could STRONGLY argue Hopkins won.

Where I was watching the Cotto/Floyd fight there were a lot of females asking about Canelo. This dude if he keeps winning is going to be PPV material.
I don't see Cotto after the Floyd fight that was a huge high paying event along side the praise he is getting taking small fights unless it is a tune up.

This current ERA is one of the weakest ERA's EVER, just a bunch of very AVERAGE FIGHTERS being HYPED UP AS THE NEXT BIG THING...they don't EARN THE HYPE, it is handed to them based on everything besides their SKILLS IN THE RING!
Not many classic rivalries or matches, fighters don't want to fight each other, promoters don't want to work with each other, way too many titles
