You gotta wonder if this fight is gonna suck because David Haye fans have made it clear that the only way to beat this huge all time great champion is to run, pot shot, and set an all time record for fewest punches thrown in a 12 round fight.
Haye fans say "Valuev is bigger, Haye is a genius fighter, what else could he do but run around like a methhead gypsy throwing 12 punches per round?"
Well the thing is this. Even though Vitali is a big guy he still gives up 7 inches and 70 pounds to Valuev.
Going by what Haye fans say there is no way for a fighter to beat someone 7 inches and 70 pounds heavier by doing anything but run, run, run all night long.
So will Vitali, who is giving up huge amounts of height and weight to Valuev, fight him the same way the sissy ass Haye did?
Do you base all fights up to round 2?
Come on man, you're a Pac fan, Cotto had a good round 1 or 2 from memory.
That's unfair.
Some people need time to adjust to a fighter.
I'm a huge Cotto fan also.
why in the hell would he just stand right in front of Valuev?
Vitali would be very elusive just like he was against Chris Arreola and pick Valuev apart
So you are saying he faked an injury by making his hand a lot bigger than his other?
I'm saying he fought the first round the same way he fought 2-12, that was my basis on his hand wasn't really hurt in my opinion.
Plenty of fighters have broken or injured their hands over the course of boxing history.
Only one of them, David Haye, has resorted to running around the ring throwing 12 punches per round.
If you say so.
The main point is, he injured his right hand which could lead to why he used it so sparingly.

Which means very little. Even if it wasn't a break (and I've no reason to dispute Haye's testimony), damaged tendons (especially) and ligaments can cause as much pain (and in some cases moreso) as breakages.
He has lied in the past about injuries. I cannot think of a better reason to dispute his bogus claim.
When you sprain an ankle it gets to be 3-4 times the size of the other one. Does that mean it's broken? Nope.
Swelling proves nothing other than he was in a fight and his hand is sore.

Sad thing is even if he did show the Xrays, your dumb ass would claim it wasn't his hand
/thread.
You couldn't close a thread if your life depended on it.
Get over yourself.
A hand can swell for many reasons besides being broken.
Inflamed tendons and ligaments would probably result in more swelling than a broken finger.

lets say you're right and it was only damaged tendon/Ligaments. have you ever damaged a ligament? hurts a damn sight more than breaking a bone in your hand and you can't bend your hand for weeks.
Vitali Quit because of tendon/ligament damage against Byrd, I take nothing from him because I know how much it hurts and don't think I could expect anyone to carry on with that.
Give me the names of journos - not forum keyboard warriors - who dispute the breakage. I've not seen any.
Nobody disuputes it cause nobody cares about the bum and they aren't gonna get the truth from him anyway.
If it was broken he would have supplied an X-Ray.
Why? Show me the boxing rule which states fighters who suffer breakages must supply X-Ray proof.
