Then we can have Tyson vs RJJ, Tyson vs Hopkins, Toney vs Hopkins, Tyson vs Holyfield, Holyfield vs RJJ etc etc.... And just pretend its the late 90's again. Throw in Romney into the mix aswell as a dark horse.
Romney vs Tyson anyone?
He's British Pakinistani.
His religion is irrelevant.
So no you're wrong he most defintely is British.
Don't get me wrong. I support British boxing. I'm very much an anglophile.... Khan however is not a "true" Brit.
Post fight press conference he said "I'm happy to be Ireland's first ever HW champion."
:lol1: dumb Brits
Would a true Irishman have God save the queen playing as his national anthem?
Why does that matter so much to you? People like you see him as African American, so why can't he claim that if he wants to?
I'm just curious as usually a boxer will represent a particular nation and have a fanbase from that country.
I don't see him as African-American. I don't know what to see him as.
Badou Jack perplexes me.
He's born in Sweden and is of Gambian/African descent but has fought almost his entire career out of Las Vegas and sounds like a typical African-American.
So what nation does he represent? Sweden, Gambia or the US?
I believe Manny Paquiao bet against himself in the Bradley fight, and thats why he didn't make a fuss over the outcome, or demand a rematch.
I think Arum planned for Bradley to win all along so he would seem greater and therefore Pacquiao's resume would take more of a boost if/when he beats him in the rematch than if he were to have just gotten the win right away.
Carl Froch said it best (RE: Cleverly) - he's a WBO champion, not a World Champion.
The WBO shouldn't even be recognised. A lot of places don't recognise it. I still only recognise the big three, not that they are necessarily any better.
The WBO is more fixated on PR fighters, than UK fighters, trust me...
You recognize the WBA? I'd say they are even worse than the WBO.
Calzaghe ducked Roy not the other way around.
RJJ has wins over Hopkins, Toney, Pazienza, McCallum, Griffin, Hill, Ruiz, Tarver.
He didn't truly get beat until he was past prime.
Bottom line is, he's not overrated.
Roy Jones is no bum, but yes he did cherry pick fights when he was in his prime just like how Floyd Mayweather is doing now, HBO offered him a nice contract where he got to pick and choose his opponent so you have to blame HBO for that. Also he did duck Dariusz, Benn, and Eubank, also Mclellan would have beat him bad.
Roy only started becoming a warrior who will fight anyone when he got knocked silly, its weird seeing Roy fighting in Russia, Australia and overseas now, when he never was willing to do it before. And its weird how he is willing to take lower money to make fights and not make it difficult.
This is why I wished Floyd got knocked out already, maybe it would make him brave and willing to fight anyone, instead of a difficult diva.
Roy should have just retired after he beat Tarver the first time in that controversial win like how Lennox retired after the Vitali win.
You really think so?
