thats pretty cool of you to invite us over considering you don't know a gotdamn one of us personally..if i lived around your way i'd prolly consider it. but BYOM? mann..i gotta say i'd just come over for the free food & drinks. lol naw im just playing, id be obligated to bring some ribs & longnecks...but seriously.. id only come for free food & drinks.
ha! I know what you mean but it'd be cool to have people around that know who all the fighters even are (besides floyd and jmm) you know what im sayin? Besides, whenever you're watching a fight... the more the merrier.
Lol you guys are hilarious..... no charge, just bring meat or whatever if you want it grilled. We'll have lotsa burgers, hot dogs, beer etc to go with it.
I was at Staples Center and there were MANY casual fans there, most seemed very excited and into the fight hoping Arreola would land a KO punch. It was a sort of anticipatory excitement....
Hey is that Korobov dude the one that Arum has been saying incredible things about? Yeah the undercard is pretty crappy..... but when I'm drunk at staples filled with anticipatory joy of the mosley-margarito fight, I dont think I will care!
I hate being a cheapo right now but I wish they had some $25 tix so I could buy a pair and take my girl out there. After all the fees and stuff, the $35 tix end up costing about $100 for a pair and I'm flat broke right now.
I've ran several LA Marathons and would also like to know if any boxers have ran marathons. I know other famous athletes like Lance Armstrong have ran.
I've found a list of famous people that have ran marathons, it's kinda interesting:
Will Ferrell: 3:56:12
Mario Lopez: 5:41:41 (terrible!)
Freddie Prinze Jr: 5:50:49
Oprah Winfrey: 4:29:20
P-Diddy: 4:14:54
Lance Armstrong: 2:59:36
Lynn Swan: 4:26:21
Ali Landry: 5:41:41
I really enjoy the contender. I love seeing the guys mingle, talk trash etc and then hearing their thoughts pre fight as well as post fight. The edited fights are ok, I wish there was a way to watch the unedited rounds like last season's contender. I've been watching regularly since season one and will continue watching as long as its on the air because it's entertaining even if they aren't world class fighters. My pick to win it all is Felix Cora Jr, I think he has great fundamentals and is a very smart guy.
Tyson was real comfortable with Rooney IMO. He was lost in the mental part of the game and that's where I feel the comfort zone of Rooney would've helped him on.
