I made the drive to Vegas from LA last weekend to witness the Pacquiao-Hatton mega fight and boy was I surprised. From the moment I arrived in Vegas I could feel a buzz surrounding the fight and EVERYWHERE I went there were Hatton fans going crazy and having a good time. The weigh in itself was the best weigh in I've ever seen by far. The support Hatton had in Vegas was quite amazing. I was even swept up in the Hatton-mania thanks to the intensity brought by his fans. Anyways, props to you guys!

De La Hoya is "retired" blah blah blah, but hypothetically speaking, would you be interested in watching De La Hoya vs Hatton in a double retiremente "farewell" fight?

I think this is a very intriguing matchup. I see a lot of people are writing Cintron off but I really feel that if Martinez fights like he did against Bunema (all the showboating etc.) he will get destroyed by Kermit. What do you guys think about this fight?

Wow, was anyone else at the fight on saturday? I've been to several fights and I was shocked at the atmosphere for margarito/mosley. I've never seen Staples center so packed and have never heard it so loud in there (not even Lakers games). I was rooting for Marg and its a shame he lost, all props to Mosley though. Anyways, I was thinking..... it's obvious that mexican/hispanic fans carried this fight (as far as attendance goes) and I'm wondering if there's anyone else out there that you guys foresee being a huge draw and selling out an arena in LA.

Anyone else feel Judah can pull off an upset against Pacquiao? I'm not trying to take anything away from Pacquiao's amazing performance, but I still don't feel he's felt the power of a great puncher that's bigger than him. Pacman will also be facing someone as fast as him so I really think it can be an intriguing matchup.

boxing is shown on free tv? Seriously, the promotion for this fight has been INCREDIBLE! Oscar is a household name and there really isn't anyone out there that comes close to drawing in the casual person into watching a fight. I mean come on, EVERYONE is talking about this fight..... even people that know nothing about boxing are hyped up to watch it. Once Oscar retires I really don't see anyone being able to pull in the type of numbers he does for several years (10+). What do you guys think? It's kinda sad but this might be the last big (to the average person) fight in a long long time.

Has anyone ever been to a closed circuit viewing of a fight in Vegas? I'm gonna be in town this weekend and am wondering if its really worth it to pay the $60+ for a seat. Any advice? comments?

What do you guys about the over/under this weekend for the Paul WIlliams-Verno Phillips fight? Odds have it at 9 1/2, I really think this is a lock to go over, what do you guys think?

I have a feeling the towel was thrown at the moment it was because McGirt or his people had some serious money riding on the under in the fight. I was closely following the live betting odds online and as it got closer to the line (11 1/2 rds) the betting lines were skyrocketting in favor of the over since it seemed like Paulie would go the distance. Right at the beginning of round 11 the odds were something like +2500 for the under since all Paulie had to do was survive 1/2 around. Is it a coincidence the fight was stopped 30 seconds before it would've gone into the "over"? I think there's some serious BS going on here..... Any thoughts?

Hey what's up everyone? I'm wondering if anyone has advice on the best way to go about purchasing tickets for upcoming events. I'm interested in going to this weekend's fights (Williams-Phillips) but I'm not sure what the best way to purchase tickets is. I know there is ticketmaster.com but it seems all the seats they're selling are at bad angles (atleast the cheap ones are). They have some promotions and special deals but I dont know any of the codes etc. Anyone have any advice? I remember for a previous fight that was being promoted by Golden Boy I was able to buy directly through their site and got some tickets with a great view for the same price as what I would've paid for a bad angle on ticketmaster, thanks again.

I'm checking out the betting lines for tonights fight and it looks like K-9 is a decent underdog against Brewer. I'm kinda surprised by this actually, can't understand why Brewer who hasn't fought much in the last couple of years can be such a favorite. It seems betting on K-9 tonight is pretty smart money, what do you guys think?

Am I the only that thinks Stevie Forbes has a pretty decent chance at pulling off a UD or SD victory this saturday against Berto? I think Forbes may be able to outbox Berto and avoid alot of his power shots. This fight will be alot closer than people think.

So I got to the Home Depot Center with 2 tickets in hand waiting for a buddy of mine to arrive. He was a bit late so I walked inside and gave the lady my ticket (they were paper tickets printed from the website) and I told her to only scan one because I was waiting to give the other one to my friend. The stupid chick scans BOTH and tells me not to worry about it. When my friend arrives 15 minutes later this chick claims she only scanned one ticket and that my friend cannot enter. I begin arguing with her and security escorts me to the box office manager. They ask for my tickets and go to the back and after a few minutes they tell me I cannot go back in because I am attempting a counterfeiting scam and that I would be asked to leave before they called the cops. What kind of fucking bullshit is that? Just my luck......... I missed one of the greatest fights in recent memory....... FUUUUUUCKKKK To top things off, today is my birthday..............

Am I the only one that thinks Quintana was doing a decent job, perhaps even winning the fight before Cotto stopped him in the 5th round? I've watched and re-watched the fight and I thought Quintana was winning the fight up until Cotto unleashed on him. Just want to hear your thoughts if you've actually seen the fight.

Is it true there will be no undercards for this event? Man.... I just bought some tickets for the fight..............
