Which fights would have had different results had they been 15 rounds instead of 10 or 12? 3 extra rounds really would have changed the dynamic of many fights.. I think Taylor Pavlik 2 may have ended with Taylor submiting around 14 or 15 to exhaustion and Pavlik's attack. Any other fights that may have ended differently with more rounds?
Chavez vs Taylor one, instead of a tko, it would have been a KthafukkO on round 13. no controversy at all. chavez would have finished him da next round.
Bute - Andrade (Andrade ko 13)
Berto - Collazo (Berto ko)
Berto musters a last hurrah in the 12th and some people completely forget he was taking naps every other round. Berto doesn't KO anything in 15.
Prime for Prime your probably right but the kind of energy in an arena for such a fight would make Hagler's chin borderline indestructable. I don't know. That would be a fun one.
John Marino... get off of Andrew's name.
Maybe but that's not the way Hagler usually fought.
He should've come out like that against an aging Leonard though, instead he gave away the early rounds by boxing with an orthodox stance.
No doubt in my mind that the Hagler who fought Hearns would beat the Leonard who fought Hagler, but prime for prime it would be tough to pick a winner. Hagler fought at 160 but he wasn't that much bigger than Leonard.

castillo-mayweather 1
castillo-casamayor
leonard-hearns 2 (hearns was pretty much out on his feet by the 12th)
margarito-williams
johnson-dawson
Johnson Dawson, surprised no one mentioned that one. That would've been excellent, I'd be more interested in watching those 3 rounds than all of Dawson/Tarver 2.
I honestly think the hagler from hagler hearns would have decapitated any SRL. I know that's judging off of that single dominant performance but he was an absolute terminator.

Leonard wouldn't have taken the fight if it hadn't been 12 rounds. In his prime he could've probably competed with Hagler for 15 rounds but not at that age after having been inactive for many years.

Jeff lacy was about to turn the heat up on calzaghe so i say Lacy KO if it went to 15 rounds.........
.. Calzaghe Jones. In a bout that looked like it never should have happened even when it was only 12 rounds.
Hearns Leonard is the best example of 15 to 12. But I get the impression SRL would have devised a different and potentially equally effective gameplan.

How about Hearns-Duran?
:D

Great, great thread topic. Props to the thread starter.
My pick goes to Andrade-Bute. We all know how that would have gone if it had a 13th round.
Had Hartley-Zelenoff 1 been 15 rounds.. Now that would have been interesting.
How about Hearns-Duran?:D
If ever there was proof that the triangle theory doesn't work in boxing. Damn those were some sick right hands, I think Duran thought he was still out of range. That one when he was stunned that put him to sleep .......
How about 15 round fights that the outcome would've been different if it were only 12?
Like Duran/Hagler, or Hearns/Leonard I.
