Was wondering if anybody knows whether any professional fighters have run a marathon whether it be a big city one like NY, Boston, Chicago etc and what time(s) have they run.
I know "Irish" Micky Ward has run Boston a couple of times running a PB of 330ish.
:lol1: I was just talking to someone on aim about how ****ing funny you are, and I don't even think you try to be that funny. You've got a gift Hector.
Williams runs 12 miles a day apparently.
A marathon is 26 miles though boys and girls.
That's very high mileage for a pro fighter to incorporate with gymwork. Highly doubt Williams runs 12 miles a day. He'd probabaly do 12 miles as his long Sunday run and maybe another one midweek. He'd do between 5 - 10 miles or even sprint work during the week.
Why are you feeling like running one as well to experience the feelings that those boxers experienced?? Or are you just asking because you have a marathon coming up, and you want to see if you have anything in common with a boxer or two??....lol
LOL! I've run three marathons and four 6-Hour track marathons. With pro fighters requiring great endurance levels to be able to fight for 12 rounds flat out, was wondering if any would incorporate a marathon as part of their training and how their fitness from training in the gym would cross over into running a marathon?
I've found a list of famous people that have ran marathons, it's kinda interesting:
Will Ferrell: 3:56:12
Mario Lopez: 5:41:41 (terrible!)
Freddie Prinze Jr: 5:50:49
Oprah Winfrey: 4:29:20
P-Diddy: 4:14:54
Lance Armstrong: 2:59:36
Lynn Swan: 4:26:21
Ali Landry: 5:41:41
Mario Lopez's time is hilarious.... He claims to be this totally fit person, but his marathon time was slower than Oprah's :haha:

I've heard it on multiple fights of his.
He has the stamina to back the claim up.
12 a day while he's in camp... I guess I should clarify.
He should be concerned that his knees don't start bothering him later in his career. That seems excessive to me.
seriously...
tito trinidad use to do it lot of times! not the ny marathon or boston.. but at least.. he was in every benefit cause marathon ..
moscoso. 10k stuff like that
calderon!!!!!!!
ironboy runs stop give you a boxing lesson then start runnin again in every fight....
soo.... in his entire career im gonna say he have run the boston & ny marathon together.. .does that count?
:D
I've ran several LA Marathons and would also like to know if any boxers have ran marathons. I know other famous athletes like Lance Armstrong have ran.

Mayweather runs a marathon everytime he fights. :D
the thread says fighters that have run a marathon, not fighters that would run a marathon if the winning prize was a year's supply of Yodels and Nutella
lmao
i bet a few of those guys would try if that was the prize.
Australian light middleweight King Davidson, runs 14ks to the Gym and 14ks from the gym to home, 4 times a week. He is going to be a prospect in the future got massive heart the guy.
you're not spending the rest of your day boxing, lifting weights, pushups pullups etc for 6-10 hours the rest of the day like a real boxer would.
I never said I did. But I can run 6-7 miles in less then 1-2 hours time and i'm just a short fat kid who got himself skinny. I'm sure an athlete like Williams can run 12 miles in the same time and spend the rest of the day doing regular training. Hell Vladimir Putin is an old Politition and he can probably run 12 miles after he judo flips someone and locks in a kimura

I run about 6-7 miles a day just to run so I would believe he runs 12
