Bro the PED thing was really weak on evidence. He tested positive for androstenedione. He claimed to be taking Ripped Fuel and at the time there was lots of contaminated Ripped Fuel(Twinlabs offered both products). So I give the guy the benefit of doubt. Not to mention, Androstenedione effects were VERY VERY weak. To see ANY effect, he would've had to be taking a huge amount of it. If he was gonna use something, Andro would not be the one to take.
This... Andro was very weak and needed to be converted in the body. This compared to the designer steroids used by Marion Jones, etc is laughable. I totally agree with your statement. There were other, more potent pro-steroids (legal before 2004) to take at that time.
Speaking on this thread, I don't think I've ever seen , or will see, anyone with the physical gifts Roy had.
I like Pac and all, but imo, it's not close to what Roy was capable of. If Roy had his killer instinct, my god. Roy-Griffin II displayed that instinct . He actually took chances. I truly believe seeing what happened to the G-Man changed him a little.
Floyd does some questionable things both inside, and outside the ring. I'm pretty sure we can all agree on that.
With that being said, the man has heart. The times I've seen him caught with good shots, he has responded by answering back, re-seizing the moment. To reiterate previous comments, he's fought through broken hands, walked bigger opponents down (given up to 15lbs ), and displayed toughness many times. I have to question what some of you define as "having heart". I think the Maidana fights have skewed a few perceptions.
I can't see him quitting, nor being broken in the ring either.
Pretty sad when Pac was signing documents he clearly didn't understand. The guy has been getting financially taken advantage of since the beginning. No telling how much he is truly owed. I hate to bring up Floyd in this Manny discussion, clearly not be the greatest of people, but he is business savvy. He gets his money, too bad someone with Manny's best interest had a firm grip over the finances, and an understanding of contract affairs. He just receives whatever is given to him no questions asked. Truly a damn shame for a true boxing icon.
Many thanks on the torrent. I rarely EVER use public trackers, I had to get it. I too tried purchasing from the US, no go. It only took me 10 mins (very slow) to download on my seedbox and I'm seeding back at about 9 - 10MB/s.

At the end, what are those things Floyd doesn't want to speak about?
Imo, it's pretty simple. Floyd is stating he has Alex Ariza in his camp now, and Ariza (for truth or not) has told his side of how things work in the Pac camp, how he conditioned him, and what he gave him in preparation. A smoking gun if you will.
Lol the English commentary on Fox Sports is pretty awful too. One of the guys is completely monotone and sounds like he has down syndrome or something as well, worst announcing voice I've ever heard.
Lol, yea one of the guys sounds like he's a golf commentator.
Well seeing that I know the the guy that introduced Androstenedione personally(Patrick Arnold) and have discussed it with him, used it many times way back when & know for a fact that Twinlabs had problems with having andro contaminated products, I think I can speak on the issue with much more experience and knowledge than most. If Roy had tested positive for anything other than Androstenedione I might believe it, but it is only performance enhancer in huge doses and even then doesn't do much, not to mention come with a large increase in estrogen at those doses.
Your absolutely right. Furthermore, andro wasn't exactly what you call a "performance booster" compared to stronger pro-steroids, peds that PA and others later introduced.
Cortez signaled the fight to continue, gesturing his hands together, and saying, "let's go". What's not to understand about that? Both fighters could plainly see and hear the gestures.
Yes, the headbutt cut Floyd below the lip. You need more supporting evidence to any other of your claims, excuses?
After the foul, Ortiz hugged Floyd and kissed him on the cheek. Then immediately after, they touched gloves. The point was taken away, and both fighters were in a nuetral corner. Cortez then stated, "let's go" and signaled the fight to resume. Ortiz tried to say sorry, again, for what? They had already touched up. That's Ortiz own fault. Watch closely, Ortiz goes to hug Floyd AGAIN, Cortez points to the timekeeper and says "time in", immediately after, Floyd threw the left-right. Again, they had already touched up, time was in, and Ortiz should've protected himself. Legal, plain and simple.

he never said "box" or "time in." it was unclear officiating. he did say "let's go" and waved them in but cortez himself wasn't ready at that moment.
why can't all fights be reffed by kenny bayless?
"Let's go" means (ready to box/resume action). Ortiz is still trying to hug Mayweather when Cortez points to the time keeper and says "time in", he had already previously gave the signal to resume action prior. He could have went about the situation better, being a vet referee but that's Joe Cortez for you. I agree, should've been a different ref.
DO YOU REALLY THINK ORTIZ COULD HAVE KEPT THAT MOMENTUM UP ALL NIGHT?? Look at his eye, and it was the 4th round. To have someone hit you in the face at will and you being defenseless against it sends a very strong message.
HE HAD BEEN BUTTING ALL NIGHT, THIS ONE WAS SIMPLY MORE CLEAR BECAUSE IT WAS TOO DAMN OBVIOUS. FLOYD NEVER COMPLAINED UNTIL THAT LAST ONE.
THEY TALKED ABOUT MAYWEATHER BEING DIRTY BUT Y'ALL SAW THAT CLINIC. FLOYD WASNT TIRED, FLOYD WAS GONNA TAKE HIM TO SCHOOL AS HE HAD ALREADY IRONED HIS CLOTHES, BRUSHED HIS TEETH, AND PACKED HIS LUNCHBOX FOR HIM...
IT WAS PURE DESPERATION ON ORTIZ'S SIDE. HE WAS TOO SLOW, WEIGHED X14 POUNDS MORE, WAS CHEATING CLEARLY GOT DROPPED AND NOW THE FIGHT FANS WANNA LYNCH MAYWEATHER STILL.
I MEAN MAYWEATHER WAS IN HIS FACE WITH A HIGH GUARD LOL. I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN TOOK MY EYES OFF MAYWEATHER IF HE HAD A HIGH GUARD IN MY FACE.
NOW HE'S HOLLERING HE WAS CHEATED.
ORTIZ WAS FRUSTRATED AND IT SHOWED, HE WAS SIMPLY LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT....
"AND THATS ALL SHE WROTE"
Lol, already. I completely agree.
And which is why Mayweather would have beaten Margarito too. His main focus is to the body, attack the body non-stop...Mosley implemented Mayweather's patented jab to the body. More credit to Mosley though, he throws combinations unlike Floyd, and he stepped in the ring to fight also. That was Mosley's best performance.
Bowe was Andrew Golota's bitch
He never fought a huge puncher like Wlad
Wlad is technically superior, has the much better jab, is faster, stronger and hits harder than Prime Bowe.
Wlad by KO
Fvck is wrong with you. Holyfield would've tore Wlad's ass up. Last time I checked Bowe won that trilogy. Anyway, "F" the triangle theory. Bowe and Holyfield would've tapped that ass. While I'm at it throw in Lewis too. Now, back on the subject, if the he would've trained, and been disciplined he might've been one of the best. He just couldn't leave Burger King alone.
So let me get this straight. Bowe stops Holyfield for the first time in three fights, and then is completely shot 8 months later against Golota? Mmmmmkay.
Yes, tragically. It didn't help the fact that Holyfield gave him hell with a heart condition. Bowe came in the Golota fight in Burger shape. That was his own fault, he underestimated his opponent greatly. Was he shot, NO, but he was showing signs of brain damage. Watch his interview after the fight, . He slurs his words. Just watch HBO legendary nights, and it will clearly show the difference. After the second Golota fight, he sounded like Charlie Brown.
Must we forget that Gerald had fast hands? He was killing people before the Benn tragedy. I don't even want to open up that can, we'd be here all day. Nonetheless, the G-Man would've won. No disrespect to Joe, I hate the feg, but the mvfvcka can box, and box good at that. G-Man too much in his prime though.
I have only two people beating Joe in his prime, G-Man and Roy.
Yeah, Calzaghe was always susceptible to ko's wasnt he.
NO, but if you think about it. Gerald threw fast, accurate, and straight. Joe throws looping shots. I'm betting G-Man beats him to the punch, that's the "point".
Plus the fact that Moorer came up from 175 to fight and beat most of the heavyweights and losing only to the best of the best (punchers or fighters) is enough to discredit all you people.
This man speaks the absolute truth. He is considered one of the best LHW's ever. He beat...wait...destroyed all LHW competition by KO. He was knocked out by Holyfield, Tua, and Foreman. A 52-4 record, and now he is considered a no chin bum? Ya'll trippin. If he wouldn't have been a lazy fvck, he would've been been a great in this era probably.
Oscar Larios has p4p the greatest chin in the world then! :boxing:
He went up in weight to fight Pac, got hit with everything, and lasted the 12th round.
Not even close because Moorer had 34+ fights at heavyweight, and was KO'd 3x....not too bad considering his first 15+ fights were at LHW.
I never get into these comments on this forum but I have to chime in on this one. Mayweather is cotto + faster, better stamina, and better ring intelligence. It is no way in hell Margarito would wear Mayweather down. He's built 4 that kind of fight. He would pot shot him to death. Margarito is way too slow, pressure or no pressure. WOuld it be tough 4 him, yes, but he would make a joke of Margarito, simply. UD 4 Floyd. Get real.
