what does floyd endorse? seriously... i don't know.
his at&t and reebok deals are a one time thing i think.
Thats what I was thinking, it's not like he has alot of endorsements and if he did they are all gone by now.
I didn't watch the vid but I thought Clottey said everytime he threw a punch it was like Manny knew he was going to throw it. Pacquiao is underrated as a boxer and Clottey fought the way he did because Manny gave him no choice.
No, Leonard entertained the idea of juming two weight classes to fight Hagler but suffered a detatched retma and retired. He made a comeback later and didn't look so good against Kevin Howard. He retired again and then finaly decided to take a chance against Hagler after a couple years of retirement. Hagler was a big bad middleweight. Comparing Leonard to Mayweather avoiding a lighter fighter just doesn't fit.
I heard De La Hoya was originally a southpaw several times but I believe the TS was looking for fighters that were converted to southpaw not visa versa.
You have to remember Hagler came from a time where there was one champion at middleweight, not a bunch of abc title belts you could collect while avoiding dangerous opponents.
It was a time when fighters wanted to prove they were the best by facing the best. They didn't gather meaningless belts and chose the easiest way of doing it.
After he beats Margarito he could retire and with his great career, history will be kind to him and his legacy.
Sad to see the lost Mayweather fans in here making negative comments. These posters are not boxing fans and have no idea of what greatness or legacy really is.
Chisora's name shouldn't be mentioned in title talk. but I feel that way about Solis too, I don't care if he stepped in competition against M. Barrett(sarcasticly said)
He might dominate Mosley because Mosley is not the fighter he was years ago but Floyd will never take a fight with Pacquiao, for good reasons too. And I'm not refering to Mayweather's allergy to southpaws.
If he does, do u think he has earned the right to fight floyd/manny/sugar?
Funny but after Williams looked beatable in his last outing he will still not be able to secure bouts with these three. The risk far outweighs the benefits. Who wants to fight a tall southpaw anyways?
Manny's southpaw stance would have given Mayweather fits, like Judah's did but Manny wouldn't run out of gas after 5 rounds. Pacquiao is as also alot younger and (arguably) in his prime.
I heard he wanted Matthew Hatton or S. Alvarez(even more than Pacquiao) but HBO money required a better opponent. Mosley seemed right so he took the fight.
Kind of a joke. Williams destroys Quintana in 1 round and he's ducking him for not fighting him again. Could you imagine the threads we'd see here if he fought Quintana again.
