Do you think Wladimir can be on top of the division for another 10 years? With his strength , size and dedication to the sport I think he might be able to.
If Wlad weren't around, Vitali would be the king and he's 40. There isn't anyone in the division who can beat Vitali at 40, and unlike some I don't see him slowing down nearly as much as other have. If Vitali's longevity (even after having to take 3 1/2 years off due to injuries the likes of which Wlad has never suffered), I wouldn't be shocked if Wlad remained champion into his 40's or later. I have a sick feeling Hopkins will be the new and once more lightheavyweight king come December at 45, and Wlad takes care of himself as well as Hopkins, probably even better considering Wlad has a PHD in sports science and medicine or something like that.
I expect Wlad will break Louis' title defense record, barring career ending injury.
There would have been a lot of disqualifications in heavyweight title history if boxing was ruled by your ridiculous standards. Certainly a few for Muhammad Ali.
Lennox Lewis would have been DQ'ed for holding and hitting both Michael Grant and Frank Bruno.
Those gifs in your sig are awesome.
The ref ruins the Calzaghe one a bit. Always wanted to see that from a better angle. Roy was like "WTF?"
On topic, Wlad looks unbeatable right now but i doubt he goes beyond his 40s
I have a feeling that once both brothers retire the divsion will magically be "Great" again. The fact is that if the brothers wouldnt be some dominant and fighting today there would be some HW champ that would be dominating everyone (maybe peter, maybe Haye(lol), maybe Adamek) someone will be in the HW division being the best and everyone will be on his balls that he is such a great fighter. Thats what makes the brothers so good, they make everyone else look like bums. Its not that the HW division is bad its just that the Brothers are so good that they dominate everyone.
People are confused and dont see it. Pretend the brothers wouldnt be here right now, You would have all these fights and a clear champ of the world, would probably 2 knockout artists getting exciting knockouts and everyone will be calling them the greatest. But with Klitschko he makes them ALL look bad.
I dont like Wlad's grab & hold fighting style.
Everytime Wlad threw a punch, he then tied up Peter.
Thats not boxing. that's "dirty" & cheating fighting.
Wlad should've been diqualified unfair boxing.

Agree. I guess the only thing he has to worry about, is whether any potentially elite HW's are on the rise as he gets older.
True, plus you never know he could always suffer a freak injury. He's definitely not going to continue because of the money so he will only fight as long as he is passionate about it.
As for the guys coming up I just don't see anyone who has the potential to be the complete package that it will take to dethrone Wlad.
Guys like Boytsov and Solis are undersized by modern heavyweight standards, and the guys who are big like Wilder and Fury lack the actual skills necessary to be a great fighter.
If there is a guy who will challenge Klitschko at some point he is still fighting as an amateur.
Exactly my point. The other heavies who went into their 40's like Foreman, Moore and Holmes may not have abused drugs but they certainly let their weight fluctuate and creep slowly upwards and as a result they slowed down and ended up eating a lot more punches than Klitschko ever has or ever will.
Sh*t look at the fight between Old George and Evander Holyfield, Foreman took more hard punches in a single exchange than Klitschko has taken in 5 years.
Look at Vitali also for comparison, he is only 8 months shy of his 40th B-Day and he is as dominant as ever despite slowing down and having sustained some pretty serious injuries over the course of his career.

He certainly gives the impression he is a young 34, he does not strike me as someone that has led a hard life, or abused his body through partying lifestyle, which usually includes drugs etc.

Klitschko can dominate for as long as he wants. There is no reason he couldn't continue to fight and win past the age of 40. Problem is I don't see him as being interested in hanging around that long.
There have been plenty of Heavyweights who remained capable boxers well into their 40's and Wlad Klitschko takes better care of his body, and takes less punishment in the ring than any of them.
The fact that he has PhD level knowledge of the human body and what makes it work at the highest level gives him a distinct advantage in he decides to fight into or near his 40s.

His only THREAT is his brother, and they're not fighting anytime soon. 10 years is too much, maybe 2 years at the most.
In two years,
the available opponents will be Povektin who stops to duck and Deontay Wilder (Michael Grant jr).
he will still beat those guys.
he can dominate for 5 more years I think.
