The fact that Manny got a gift decision from Vegas tells me he automatically has to fight Floyd now. Even if that means going less than 50/50.
Whatever Floyd asks Pac's camp will DEF have to agree to now.
My good sir... it's useless. Be prepared for an onslaught of idiotic posts on why ones better than the other or why ones a sucker/ducker
It's the same deal over and over. One month Pac is winning the popularity race then the next month its the opposite. It's like they take turns.
Yes but at what cost? We enjoy all those fights and is the golden era of boxing but you have to think also about the well being of the fighters considering they have no union to protect them. I was a big Wilfred Benitez fan and I enjoyed all the great fights he had but look at him now? he looks really bad and look at Ali, look at Fraizer RIP he was in really bad health years before he passed away. 3 more rounds might not look like much in one fight but after three fights you are fighting 45 rounds insted of only 36.
For superfights they should be 15 jusaying..
I prefer judges who aren't paid off to give a certain fighter the win.
You think adding rounds will stop the corruption in boxing? Thats the most hilarious thing ever.
It's a business. Grow up. 20 years from now, Juan will still be losing sleep over this and he will have no one else to blame but himself or he can where those damn t-shirts his Momma gave him. Rofl.
I don't think it will stop the corruption in boxing, but I do think it promotes for KO's. In which both sides needed last night.
15 rounds is too much if you look back to most of the fighters of that era most of them suffer from health problems. Look at Benitez, Ali, Gomez and many other fighters they are in really bad health.
And yet that was the golden age of Boxing am I right?
Pac won a very close fight. This is not a thread to debate who won the fight.
But Im actually kinda glad that it was another war. In every sport, complacency is the downfall of all great athletes and teams. Pac has been steamrolling through competition for too long. He needed this close fight to remind him that hard work and good preparation are what will win the megafights (floyd).
I hope Pac and his camp realizes that he doesn't automatically win just because he is the better athlete, fighter, etc. This is why we love sports.
I totally agree. I hope this truly wakes him up. He needs to return that Ferrari. He also needs to quit his job as a Congressman. He can still change things being a civilian.
He needs to being back the mentality of pre-DLH. I truly think at that stage he was focused and executed game plan. He really thought he was gonna go in there with Juan and steamroll him. I just hope he can bounce back from this.
Seems like Roach has no clue on how to train Pac for a counter puncher.
Who do you think would be a better fit?
Personally id like to see Pac with Nazim.
or Garcia?
or Steward?
Dare I say Mayweather Sr? ( What a story line )
Too late. adfadfadfadfadf
Usually fights are replayed all day the next day and at least once a day there after, yet no replay for Pac vs JMM 3....
Is HBO gonna try and convince people the fight never happened just because Pac got his ass handed to him by a 38 year old blown up lightweight??
It's not even On Demand yet I've been checking everyday!
they play it the following saturday usually before another fight. DUH
Floyd can make adjustments, Manny cant.
True.
He needs to re-evaluate his whole camp. Get focused. I even heard that on the following day he asked his Wife Jinkee to renew their vows and she told him no. Apparently she won't forgive Manny for 2 timing her.
obviously not. unexpected stuff happens in boxing all the time, it's an unpredictable sport. There are hundreds of examples of a fight ending early to something weird/freakish etc. You win some, you lose some.
Well that just plain sucks then. I mean if Directv can refund their subscribers I'm sure Staples Center could too lmao.
Did you just say what I think you said? You want manny to wear a shirt of him railing another boxer in the arse?
...suspect homo
lmao this is sig worthy.
Where was that workrate in the fights against Marquez? He didn't get over 650 in either fight if I am not mistake. Why? Because Pac can't deal with a smart counter puncher. If Marquez can do it, Floyd can do it twice as good and as easy. At the bare minimum, Floyd can fight him as Marquez did in both fights and do a better job at it. And, Floyd's stamina is just as good as Manny's.
Floyd's hasn't been pushed to that limit to tell us he has better/equal stamina to Manny. I think at this very moment Manny takes it as far as endurance goes no doubt in my mind.
Good point on JMM though, but that was a different Pac. I truly believe he's a lot better now w/ his defense than he was back then.
footwork and head movement
and a lot of lead lefts on his part
The counter right hook by Pac against Marg couldn't have been any better.
Floyd goes down on that same punch.
Floyd Jr. can't "underrate" it, because Floyd Jr. can deal with it easily,
on a punch-by-punch, or combo-by-combo basis of reckoning.
IMO, Manny's workrate and stamina, and not any signature punches,
are what ought to concern Floyd. He may know what to do to beat
Pac on an exchange-by-exchange basis, but sustaining the effort for
10+ rounds while still mounting a credible offense might be an issue.
Of course, I am generalizing to keep this short.
JM2
Manny's right hook is becoming quite "signature".
Manny's work rate/speed at lower weights was 2x more than the present Pacquiao, and yet Marquez was able to overcome that because he was what Floyd currently is: Smart, amazing counter-puncher.
I box i dont fight anything like Ali but his footwork is the best i have every seen out of all the heavyweights but how could i get footwork like him.
would it just be jumping rope all the time any thing I could do it looks like his feet were gliding his foot were so smooth.
I saw vs floyd patterson he came out his corner and slide it look like he was skating the way his feet would slide and turn.
I saw that fight against Patterson. Absolutely beautiful.
sorry, i did not watch the videio before responding..:D
but i dont think pac will wait for the right stright only to land a counter right....he will try to initiate the offense and punch first imo..
True that, but I know at some point Floyd will throw that straight left ( several times) throughout the fight. He'll land a lot of them ; just saying Pac is totally capable of countering that.

Two perspectives.
Go read the articles and vote
Kieran is on the money with his pick.
Khan and Floyd would totally make sense for Floyd.
Pac's counter right hooks were fine esp. against Marg but were talking of Floyd here
he won't be that stupid for being tagged by same technique the rest of the fight
Pac should work the body or make Floyd turn around regularly to confuse his timing
I'm not saying he'll constantly get tagged when he tries to straight right.
It'll only take a few good right hooks like that will make Floyd think twice next time he considers throwing it again.
I think its fantastic Floyd fighting close up. Great for fans.
Also great for Manny because he's is deffff not beating Floyd if he decides to go on his bicycle.
If Floyd tries to match punch for punch w/ Pac in the middle its game over.
Floyd is smart so he won't do that, but at some point in the match I think he will.
Good point. I can't see Manny muscling/pressuring Floyd around the ring like Castillo did.
Manny's major strength was never being on the inside, mainly his mid-game was his strength. He loves to move his head/body side to side and dart in and out all at that mid-range area.
I'd advise Manny to train for relentless speed then.
they'll almost always refund or trans credit once you've mentioned cancelling your subscription. its up to your reasoning and convincing power to the customer service representative.
Last I remember subscriptions are year long. Cancellation fee's are b*tch.
looking good
Did you notice like around the 2nd round of the Ortiz/May fight how Victor started to bounce around the ring a lot. Soon after Floyd started to land his left hook everytime Victor stop bouncing ( lol ) to set up a punch. It was hilarious.
