It provides structure and helps you focus on the future but now that I’ve been married 14 yrs I’ll say don’t do it if you can live good without a woman
I met him in the mall before the broner/maidana fight and we were going the same direction so we walked and talked about the boxing game and he seemed pretty cool to me but that was b4 the belts
It’s a fine line he’s walking and the trainer knows how to push u to get the most out of u some u have to baby and stroke the ego and some u have to put your foot in they behind
Canelo was young but wasn’t in his prime I’d say a win over Canelo now would surpass everything pac has done but for pac to fight a 30 yr old undefeated champ and a young undefeated Tim Bradley is special
I was there and the Mexican filled place was quiet as hell for the whole fight except the end when the score cards were read, I thought Lara won easy but I knew they wouldn’t give it to him but as for now Canelo #1 p4p
why would he step up? he made it to ppv fighting nothing but bums. why ruin a good con? he hasn't fought anyone in the top 10 for 4 years now. its astounding but if it doenst matter to fans then why take risks?
Fans don’t understand that this is the business of boxing
Boxing fans are the worst this guy hasn’t fought in a yr and is willing to jump into a tittle fight against an undefeated champ but instead fights another undefeated puncher and wins 120-104 with 3/4 kds and you still say it was lackluster his opponent showed true grit and never gave up and u still not satisfied
He’s biased, he hates kell brook and paquaio just to name a few, but all show a little favor to somebody dontae loves Floyd and and anybody black and I’m black but they should just be neautral if your going to b a true reporter
I think he slowed down a little bit and isnt as mobile on his feet anymore, but his last competitive fight was against canelo nearly 4 years ago and canelo himself isnt a frontfoot pressure fighter and cant cut off the ring well making laras footwork look much more effective.
Angulo, whose bread and butter is to walk down his opponents, was able to pin down lara on the ropes and touch him up. I believe Freddy Hernandez was also able to pin lara down, but I cant find any footage anymore.
then you have smith, rodriguez, zaveck, martisrosyan II, foreman and gausha, who were all not able to bring the fight to lara and close the distance well.
All these guys were either shot or midrange kind of guys, which suits lara well, because no one really outboxes him at midrange.
Hurd eats a lot of flush shots, but is very durable. He takes a shot and gives a shot and in exchanges often damages his opponent more than they are hurting him.
I dont think lara can avoid exchanges for 12 rounds. Hurd is big and strong for 154 and isnt as easily to clinch, because of his size.
Last fight Ronnie shields responded to the criticism that Lara received for the fight and he said “ I’ve set him down and u still ain’t happy, I’m gonna let him fight his style” basically saying he trained Lara not to move as much it wasn’t because he couldn’t
I’ve always thought anybody with good skill beats wilder but yesterday I saw 2 of the top 3 heavyweights scared to fight each other, these guys don’t have the killer instinct to beat wilder Joshua made Parker look like a dwarf and was afraid to impose his size and will Parker didnt do bad but either way the wilder and Ortiz that fought a few wks ago beats both and wilder might put em in a coma
You guys think it's worth sending $250-500 om hurd upset? what would it bring???
U better off donating that money I haven’t seen anybody make Lara look past prime, now I do think things could get scary for him in he later rnds just because he’ll have a big dude breathing down his neck all night but I’ve seen him fight off the back foot quite easy for 12 rnds
Cotto - Martinez was pretty stupid. Martinez was old and clearly injured, and the fight was spun like a great victory for Cotto. That was hand picking. They were banking on Martinez being injured.
That’s BS give cotto some credit Martinez had the belt and constantly pushed a ko win even said in no way could cotto see 9 rnds
Boxing is the worst sport to bet on, I’ve seen many times a fighter gets whooped on but somehow wins the fight. With that being said the favorite is Lara which helps and there would be major drama surrounding a Lara/charlo fight so if I could I’d put $ on Lara
Good point to me it seems if your asking a person with 3% body fat who already drains himself to make a certain weight to lose 3 more pounds that’s unhealthy unfair and also dangerous but if u take a person like Chavez jr who was said to be around 190lbs against Martinez who can somehow drain themselves comfortably and make the weight then blow back up is kinda having a huge advantage so it depends on the fighter and body composition
