When is comes to boxing ricky is just a decent fighter nothing spectacular in my eyes before his fight against F.Mayweather Jnr the only decent boxer he beat was Kostya Tszyu,and the british public dont stop going on about it!!

His only a champ in the light welterweight division,he won the welterwieght title once and never boxed at that weight again until F.Mayweather Jnr took him to school.

I reckon it wasnt as one sided as people are making it to be, either way the split desicion was the correct result.
But diffrent people see the fight diffrently so it could have gone either way.
I do think the cut in the eye hampered Cotto,and worked to the advantage of Clottly but he never made full use of it.
I also think Clotty coming in to the later rounds thought he had already done enough and he let go of the gas a bit.
He should have been fighting his heart and soul out in the later rounds givin the chance and position he was in.
But instead he was holding his defence up and going on to the ropes and making Cotto look better then actully he was.
Clotty was also leaving his rallies at the end of the rounds to late i noticed soon as he would here the sound for the last ten seconds of the round he then start putting the pressure on Cotto with alot of puches but left it too too late.
Overall Clotty only has himself to blame the fight was there for the taking but he didnt grasp it now i wonder when will he ever have a chance like this again!!
