Amir Khan has hit out at Andreas Kotelnik once again, maintaining the war of words that started when Kotelnik referred to Khan as ‘a boy.’  Amir is clearly smarting over this slur, and aims to rearrange Kotelnik’s face when their rearranged date rolls around.

Khan and Kotelnik face-off at the MEN arena on the 18th of July, their original date was pushed back when Kotelnik developed a tooth problem, although some have claimed that Andreas was hammered in sparring, and this is the reason the fight was pushed back.

Khan, 22, clearly cannot let the ‘boy’ slur pass, hoping to show on the night that he has mentally and physically matured as a boxer.  “It will be exciting but at the end of the day it will be me with the [WBA light-welterweight belt] around my waist, and we will see who the child is then,” said Khan.  I cannot confirm nor deny rumors that he then poked out his tongue and added, “So ner!”

Amir is convinced that fight will be exciting, ergo two-way, but is adamant that he will see off the experienced Ukrainian, due to his own steady improvement under Freddie Roach.

Indeed, the holdup has given Khan more time to work with Roach, and the Bolton man was philosophical about the postponement.  “Delays like this happen, I’m still going to be in great shape,” claimed Khan.

The bill will be televised on Sky PPV here in the UK.
