Let’s take a look at Jermall actually. The guy is the same age as canelo. 30 fights in, has only headlined like 2 or 3 times (mans an undercard fighter for Christ sake). No unifications. No HOFers on his resume. No big fights. No PPVs. No NOTHING. Now, how the hell is he supposed to be a measuring stick for an actually proven, p4p guy like Canelo? Please explain, maybe im missing something?? and yes, fielding and yildirim hadn’t done anything either but the difference is they took the canelo fight for what they’re worth and didn’t ask for no outlandish amount. Terence Crawford 147 2018 schedule might look like this: jeff horn for the wbo PAPER title, faded pacquiao and random wbo contender. Arum will NOT match Bud with the likes of Keith Thurman Jr, Errol Spence Jr, Shawn Porter or Danny Garcia, yet people will continue to rave about the Omaha native being a "3 division world champion". Don't get me wrong, i know i might come out as a hater i still believe Terence is a highly skilled guy but i just feel like he hasn't been matched with the highest quality level of oppostion and he is going to be kept away from the real 147 challanges in 2018.

First they tried to put Shawn Porter on the non PPV card of MayMac and now they are using him as the co main event for Wilder. I am not saying that Shawn is a superstar but i think we can all agree that at this point he is a solid enough name to headline his own events. Now about the opponents. I understand that Shawn needed a fighter past his best after taking the L against Thurman. Andre Berto was the perfect opponent and Shawn handled business just like he was supposed to. What's the point of him facing Granados next? other than activity and stacking up the Wilder card that fight is meaningless. I ride hard for Al Haymon but these Porter moves seem pretty questionable to me...

Miguel Angel Cotto vs Keith Thurman is such an interesting fight. Keith could easily jump up 1 division up to junior middleweight or meet at a catchweight. The Puerto Rican is the perfect opponent for Thurman at this point in his carreer. Miguel is a HOFer and on his way out but can still put up a solid fight. It would be Keith's third consecutive competitive fight. Imagine him getting W's over Shawn Porter, Danny Garcia & possibily Miguel Cotto back to back to back. That's some superstar P4P sht right there if you ask me. I have no desire at all to see rematches with Porter and Garcia. If its not Cotto i want Thurman to face either Amir Khan or Lamont Peterson. Too bad #48 is out of the question... comment, who would you like to see 1 Time do next?

You saw it last night how the kid was able to gather over 40k people at the stadium. Wheter you like it or not the kid is boxing biggest Superstar today. There's plenty of interesting fights for him at 154 or 160. He could really well continue to make his way without GGG. Canelo/ Charlo's. Canelo/ Andrade. Canelo/ Quillin. Canelo/ Jacobs. Canelo/ Saunders. Those are all big events waiting to happen. It's Gennady Golovkin who should prove himself and move up to 168 already. Enough of staying at 160 to feast on 154ers and 147ers. If i was Canelo i would just outright sht on GGG. Treat him like a btch and tell him to bend over if he wants the fight. Danny has two fights at the full 147 limit but none of them have been against full fledged welterweights. Andre Berto is a natural 147er and the kid has great handspeed and packs a decent punch. Styles make fights and i think DSG vs Berto would be a fun fight to watch. My point is, why is the public ok with Gennady not going up in weight to challenge himself further? i mean it's pretty fckin clear that he is going to knock out everyone from junior middleweight to middleweight, i don't care how much "skills" you have, once GGG touches up your chin, it's over. Canelo is getting knocked out too. (if that fight happens, wich i dont think it will in the near future). I'm cool with Golovkin and all but at this point i just want him to move to 168 to see how he does there. 154-160 doesn't have any threats for him. Not only is the WBC tournament at stake, there's also the big rivaly that sparks up anytime a Mexican and a Puerto Rican square up in the ring. We've seen it before, Chavez-Rosario. De La Hoya-Trinidad and most recently Cotto-Canelo. Danny and Robert are both eager to write their names in this historic rivalry. The Island will be watching, DSG is their hope to avange the recent loss of PR's favorite Miguel Cotto...will Danny fold under the pressure of having an entire country on his back or will he deliver?...will Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero continue the streak of winning that Canelo started vs Miguel? Think about it, that's the fight that makes the most sense for Nelo next. You don't go into back to back 50-50 fights, at least not in today's era. Alvarez is not fighting GGG in may. Forget about it. Maybe in September. Oscar is going to use the May 2 date to cash out on an in house fight, they will probably make the fight at a catchweight of 156-157ish. It's either that or the winner of Lee-Saunders at a catchweight also, but i'm leaning more towards the in house GBP fight. Tim Bradley is not an option at all, trust me. Bob Arum made that statement about Tim fighting the winner of Cotto vs Canelo just to hype up his fight and promotional company and you all bought into the bullsht yet once again smh...Bob's plan worked and he has everyone mentionig Bradley as a possible oppponent when in reality he is not.

1= They are ranked #1 & #2 by the WBC 2= Both are in desperate need of credibility. Khan has a chance to avenge his loss and DSG has a chance to prove that his KO of Amir wasn't a fluke. 3= Winner would be the new WBC 147 champion and would have their carreer back on track after recent forgettable performances (See Khan/Algiero, Garcia/Malignaggi etc) The reward is very high but the risk is very high also, a loss for Khan be it via points or KO would put him in a very, very dark space in his carreer. A loss for DSG would only add to his questionable carreer, people would start saying that he got lucky on the first fight when he KO'ed Amir and so on. I am praying to God Al that this fight is made next!

I am not trying to sht on Al Haymon or Top Rank but what Golden Boy Promotions is doing is amazing for us fans. They don't have an stacked stable like they used to, but they sure are matching their only "name" fighters with the highest challenges available. You have Canelo fighting Cotto. You have Lemiux fighting fckin Gennady Golovkin. You have Matthysse who just beat Ruslan and is now fighting Postol next. They are also trying to match Sadam Ali against Timothy Bradley. Oscar and GBP are risking having their star fighters take losses to other companie's fighters but in the meantime they are giving us some good ass fights and that's all that should matter :boxing:

I seriously don't understand this sht, it's just not adding up. This 38 year old Floyd Mayweather Jr guy has had nearly TWO FCKIN DECADES OF P4P DOMINANCE, why are you guys acting like fighters that just started making noise recently (GGG, Brook, Thurman, Khan etc) are entitled to having Floyd prove himself against them? it just doesn't make sense. We've seen how Danny has had trouble with boxers in the past (see Herrera, Peterson). By now he should at least show some growth, he has to show us that he can make the adjustments to win convincingly against the boxer type. Who's a better opponent than Devon "The Great" Alexander? both are small welterweights and have shared the ring with elite names, win or lose. I truly believe a legit win over Alexander could put Danny Swift in the right path again, an UD or even KO over a brawler would not do much for Danny's carreer these days (unless that brawler is Chino). As we all know Swift has a hard time with slick boxers, #48 likes to brawl and does great against stationary fighters such as Swift...the thing is, if #48 gets too reckless, could García catch him with one of his infamous hooks?. #48 does have a tendecy to take naps during fights. I think it's a 50/50 match up with a slighte edge to #48 due to his speed. i say it's an interesting matchup and i would like to see it happen. vote on the poll :boxing:

Think about it, #48 is not getting any younger and up and coming fighters need a signature win to put them in the map of prize fighting. Crawford vs #48 144 catchweight, Macu China HBO PPV event. That would be the headstart for Terence's carreer as a prize fighter. All Floyd said is that Mayweather Promotions would have to be the LEAD promoter of the Pacquiao Mayweather Event. If you have any kind of common sense you can realize that by using the world "LEAD" it implies that there would be other promotion companies involved, those being Manny's Top Rank and Floyd's co promoter Golden Boy. Thurman knows damn well its not in his power or in the people he is calling out to make the fights happen. Another example is the infamous Pacquiao/Mayweather fiasco. Mike Alvarado? Diego Chavez? a semi retired Juan Manuel Marquez? The only reason i want this "cold war" to end is because Mayweather/Pacquiao. other than that i could really not give a fck. Top Rank is a rotten house right now and Oscar is doing Arum a favor imo. Golden Boy could of just let TR die out.

I don't know much about this Postol dude besides that he is an undefeated fighter. Personally i think that at this point any 140 fight would not do much for Danny's carreer.
