Legit Question: How exactly did Jermall Charlo position himself as the boogeyman/measuring stick for Canelo?

Let’s take a look at Jermall actually. The guy is the same age as canelo. 30 fights in, has only headlined like 2 or 3 times (mans an undercard fighter for Christ sake). No unifications. No HOFers on his resume. No big fights. No PPVs. No NOTHING. Now, how the hell is he supposed to be a measuring stick for an actually proven, p4p guy like Canelo? Please explain, maybe im missing something?? and yes, fielding and yildirim hadn’t done anything either but the difference is they took the canelo fight for what they’re worth and didn’t ask for no outlandish amount. Charlo would not, he’d ask for money that he is not worth and canelo doesn’t have to overpay this guy just because. so what y’all think, can we stop with this whole bs ass narrative already??
