A possible silver lining is it may free up Froch to fight Golovkin especially since HBO made it look like he's scared of him with Carl's pride he probably won't be able to sit back and let that stand. HBO baiting him and doing their best JMM impression.

Even at 180 on fight night I think Golovkin would break the lazy/spoiled pothead's face. Fundamentally speaking, Golovkin is a superior fighter and it'd be somewhat interesting to see how many monster shots from GGG Chavez could eat before succumbing to the punishment. I would pay for that fight just to solely see the matchup between GGG's power vs Chavez Jr's iron chin.

Bad match up for Cotto imo. Chavez is huge and if he makes the weight, he'll come to the ring at 180 easily. Unless Freddie demands a fight night weigh in clause, Chavez' size wins this.

From the recent pics I've seen, at least Chavez hasn't blow up as bad as he usually does. He looks fairly in shape.

They desperately try to get back their lead position in Mexico. They know that Cotto wants to fight with Canelo and they know that Canelo is already a bigger draw in Mexico than Chavez Jr.

Figures. Chavez Jr's entire career has been built on picking on smaller men, so it fits his profile. Of course, that's assuming he can stop toking up long enough to pass a drug test.

Chavez is going to look ill at 160, he's not beating Cotto in that kinda shape. The match-up itself is stupid. One guy that is too small for MW fighting a guy who's too big at MW for the lineal title.
