the thing is if he decided he wanted all those fights, those guys would form a queue...i just hope he values his legacy more than oscene amounts of money, i remember him saying he has more money than he could ever spend, yet money is the issue with the mosley fight...
i wouldnt bet much on any of those guys beating him
id say mayweather, i think if anyone can beat mayweather an on form hatton could...as much as id love hatton to win id say he'd find it very difficult to hit mayweather...it could potentially be a dull fight...id still like to see it as much as any other fight being spoken about though.
i think it's more likely someone will get lured up from lightweight, casamayor would be good, i cant see ricky venturing up to welterweight again for anyone but mayweather or cotto....
i think most hatton fans would agree mayweather is the superior boxer, but i cant think of anyone that can match him for sheer talent...but hatton can be underestimated technically, it wouldnt be boxer versus brawler, id definately pick mayweather to win that, id kind of see hatton boxing a bit like DLH did...
de la hoya is far better known here than mayweather, pretty much everyone knows the name, and to be honest if hattons fighting, as long as everyone knows it's against a famous guy it'll sell a huge amount.
i would be a pretty good fight i think, id be confident of a hatton victory
to be honest i think hopkins is in a lot of ways a better fighter than when he fought jones...i actually think a crafty old hopkins was a harder fight than a more offensive hopkins would have been....im a calzaghe fan and no way was it was comfortable..i actually really enjoyed the fight despite the ugliness.
no way did calzaghe look unbeatable in that fight though...
the fact remains that hopkins used every trick in the book, no way did he look like like a spend force and calzaghe's will to win remained unshakable....i seriosuly thought he was going to lose the decision at the time....id like to see the hbo broadcast to see what the american commentators were making of it....
that first round was terrifying for calzaghe fans, joe looked like an amatuer for those rounds....soon as he dropped his hands and started feinting i knew he had it in the bag....not logical but other people who have followed calzaghes career will know what i mean...
i wonder if people will be digging this thread up in 3 years time.....hopefully because haye has unified the division...or perhaps he'll end up like jeff lacy...
joes kind of been inconsistant without ever being in danger of losing, he looked bad in a few pre lacy fights and even earlier than that...robin reid had way more of a case for being robbed than hopkins did in my opinion....im not sure hes on the slide quite yet....i could see pavlik being beaten far easier than hopkins or kessler...also has anyone ever looked great against hopkins....lookin sloppy against him is no case for anything, he has one of the most awkward styles in boxing history...
i don;t particularly give lewis a ton of credit for winning....this was the first boxing match i ever saw! i think people at the time bought into the mythology of tyson...
miranda seems out to fight everyone...i know this is going to start taking the piss out of calzaghe sooner or later but i think the middleweights and super middles now are pretty damn lucky (or unlucky) tio be boxing in what looks like a classic era...
