I had it basically the same as Harold Lederman. I thought Chambers won 3 out of the first 4 and then Povetkin swept the rest. It frustrated the shit out of me with Chambers seemingly giving away the fight.
Chambers almost made me lose my prediction, which I still got correctly
But Wlad smashes Povetkin
how do u lose your prediction.... yet sill get it correctly???
I scored it 117-109 (two even rounds).
Chambers certainly has skills, but he is as disappointing as Dominic Guinn. Another talented American heavyweight contender with absolutely no fire in his belly. I am basing my opinion of him on this one fight, but, despite his solid counter-punching ability, I think this guy is a waste of time for a trainer like Buddy McGirt. If I were McGirt, I would move on right now. Otherwise, he is just setting himself up to be frustrated. I agree with Max that Chambers should try to trim down to cruiserweight. He seems like he could melt off quite a bit of weight with a better trainer on his ass (his dad is god awful IMO).
With regard to Povetkin, I was fairly impressed. I can see how he won Olympic gold. Great work rate, solid chin and above average skill and balance. I probably wouldn't pick him to beat Wlad, but who knows. If his chin can hold up, he's got a good chance.
Interesting how Parody, a Brit, roots for Yanks like Hopkins (against a Brit, Calzaghe) and Mayweather (against a Brit, Hatton) and, in this instance, Chambers.
I think I know why...
It's because he is not biased towards british fighters just because they are british. Someone disagree with you and you have a problem? Suck it up.
.....Is anyone else getting tired of Michael Buffer? Especially when he tries his hand at foreign languages and in particular German. His attempts to pronounce Hispanic fighters names is also obnoxious.
is it worth downloading or not? drunky magners you love it with ice like i do or do you lierk double vodka red bull, i also like vkice and vkorange with fatty
it was a very good fight for not having any knockdowns
** Really? You mean you rate Chagaev, The Great White Ophra?
Poor chap couldn't bust a soap bubble with a sledgehammer from what I've seen and needs plenty of judges and the ref to secure his wins.
Povetkin ain't a great, but he's prime, motivated, and has a good style for the division against all but Wlad or Valuev.
I imagine Chambers qualified himself for a shot against Chagaev tonight, but probably Golota is the frontrunner. Depends Don King will let us know.
Povetkin hasn't even entered his prime yet, he is still green and he only has 15 pro fights...Povetkin is only going to get better with experience, he has a bright future ahead of him.
On a side note, Povetkin admitted in the post fight interview to being sick with the flu, he wasn't even 100% and he still won a clear cut UD over a very skilled more experienced opponent in Eddie Chambers.

chageav actually has above average power in his left,,,its just his recent opponents have been awckward and very difficult to knock out. I still think chageav is the second best heavyweight behind wlad followed by sultan ( when in shape) then povetkin and peter
I would Pick Chagaev over him as well

I'm sure most of us can agree that the right man won the fight, no matter how you scored it. Povetkin has a good chance of becoming a popular heavyweight champion, if he can figure out how to get past Klitschko. Chambers had little hope of accomplishing that.
I prefer Technical fighters
Thats why I've started to like Wlad and pick him to rape Povetkin, and Pavlik over Taylor.
Wlad, Pavlik, Bute, Mayweather, Dawson, Kessler, Calzaghe, Forrest > Povetkin, Johnson, Woods, Froch, Miranda, Mayorga, Bika, Margarito
...Fair enough.

..He "identifies" with a certain "type" of fighter apparently.
I see the American reporters who covered the fight knew Povetkin won, and their descriptions of the fight match what I saw.
Most people were expecting Povetkin to win and he did just that.
People get this through your thick skulls, Nobody is claiming Chambers deserve to win the fight, Its the wild scorecard that suggest the fight was one-sided that seem unfair..Nothing more nothing less, Povetkin deserve the win and i scored it 116-112.
I live in Hammersmith where your idol was born, a small area which probably has better economy than the whole of Scotland.

lmfao thts fucking class. im at uni there so i would know. crazy scots. there good people though
115-113 for Povetkin, I won some bets on Povetkin as well, This was the first time I saw Chambers fight, I was unimpressed in the Brock fight, but even at loss he impressed me in this one with countering with quick right hands at will. Povetkin won rounds on his workrate. Povetkin is not ready for Wladimir
Wladimir will KO Ibragimov, then Povetkin, then bring on anyone else.
Povetkin has always been way open but I'm glad to hear that he at least deserved the win. I'll watch it tonight on HBO, sounds like an interesting fight.
