Great post.
I agree with all your points.
Thank you, Raging bull.
This has been brought up before so you kinda try to gather all the best elements over time. :boxing:
Most all the different posts make plenty of sense.
And I also agree with the quote above, and I'll add:
60% to the winner, 40% to loser.
Retirement funds.
All boxers, starting at the amateur level, before stepping foot in any ring, should have a financial strategy laid out by a competent and pro financial adviser. Or take proper and necessary steps to invest income wisely for the unforseeable future.
In my opinion it would take all of the sports' fans and pro boxers, collectively, to demand and effect any changes at the political level.
If that doesn't work, then a whole new organization, with all the best features and benefits to the boxer, needs to be created. Not sure if this
has already been tried.
Then you may have a massive switch from the old orgs to the new.
Not very well thought out, but just My Ope. :boxing:

One belt One champion...he has top fight every number one contender, you know like a ladder match...the loser goes to the bottom of the list and waits his turn..
Make each Champion fight quarterly (once each season)...
Three judges on each side of the ring...

Only problem with this would be if someone owned more then one belt in each division like Taylor.
This wouldn't be a huge problem...Say a guy's got the WBA and the IBF straps. So then the WBC and the WBO champs fight, and the winner fights the WBA/IBF champion. If someone holds 3 belts, he fights whoever has the other belt.
The real problem comes when a title is vacant. Do you wait for someone to win the belt? If not, how do you decide who gets a bye while the other champions fight? Maybe the longest reigning champion?
if someone moves up into a new weight divison they dont skip everyone thats worked hard to make it to the top 10 n get a title shot just because they are a champion of another weight
I think it's pathetic that the thought of someone fighting 6 to 7 times a year gets comments like that. It's their job to fight. 6 times a year really isn't that many.
1 champ per division that has to defend his title every 8 weeks.
If champ is injured in a fight, next two fight for interim title. If he can't face the winner of that fight within 8 weeks, he forfeits the title.
Less weight divisions in the lower weights.
Give fighters a bonus if they win by knock out. i.e. they get 80% of their purse if they win by decision.
Get rid of PPV >>
As for multiple titles. Meh, I could care more or less. I like the idea of each champions have a tournament in each weight division and the winner in the real champion.
For example:
WBA champ vs WBC champ (WBC wins)
IBF vs WBO (WBO wins)
WBC vs WBO = winner true champ of the division.
Only problem with this would be if someone owned more then one belt in each division like Taylor.
Oh and lower weight division's getting some fucking recongition.
I would lower the salaries these guys get and make them FIGHT like the UFC does. The reason these guys dont fight on and fight more aggressive is because they are getting paid so much.
Kid...boxers dont make shit unless you got titles and its still chicken feed.
Its a long hard road to the top ten. They should benefit from it.
That business plan would officially kill boxing.
Good work...

What about this, if there wasa fight like DLH and PBF and if it went to the cards and it was a draw. There would be an extra round to determine the winner. They did it for the Contender it was just and idea.
Well...
1. One Champ per Division
2. An Honest Governing Body That Would:
A. Establish A Retirement/Medical Program funded by Promoters, Advertisers and the boxers themselves all pitching in a government subsidized fund.
B. Three strikes and your out with Nutcase judges throwing fights
C. One Belt Per Division
D. HUGE financial pentalties for promoters that put on worthless cards with obvious underated fighers.....and even more penalties for worthless Pay - Per - Views
E. 13 or 15 round fights for Championship, some other uneven number for non-title
F. Same day weigh in
G. Smaller Gloves, Smaller Ring
H. Warnings / Point Deductions for obvious running / avoiding conflict
I. Establish a direct method of contact between Governing Body and THE FREAKING BOXING FANS THAT KNOW WTF IS WRONG WITH BOXING TODAY
I dunno. There are a ton more...but obviously I will fix them when I run boxing someday.
Feel free to message me with any other ideas / comments on my half thought out ideas.
