Because you have no idea what I'm talking about. That is why. Go back and school yourself on WHY Pac is not fighting Cotto at 154. Then come back and say you're sorry.
For now, I did you a favor. You're welcome.
Uhmmm, Pacquiao said he's never going to fight at 154 again coz it's already too big for him. And there's no reason to fight him again at Welterweight coz Cotto got demolished and Pac will get blasted for giving Cotto a rematch, if ever.
Pac vs Bradley is a good fight.
Was everyone over looking Pac vs Hatton? Hell no, EVERYONE knew that bum was getting KTFO. Now we have a JWW fighting an 8 weight class former JMW "Champion"...
Cotto was too much of a threat even though Pac wanted to fight him. Bradley was up next since Bob said the stadium wouldn't be finished in time to fight Mayweather. Bottom line, Bradley has little power and won't out box Pac. This is not that great of a fight but it is better than Pac's cowardly disgraceful run of Clottey, Mosley and Margarito...
Mayweather vs Cotto I think will be more exciting than Pac vs Clottey, I mean Bradley. Mayweather will sell more PPV's too. But the irony of it all, is when Mayweather sells more PPV vs Cotto than Pac did vs Cotto....
Lets just hope by the end of the year when Mayweather gets out of jail, Pac won't be too religious to fight Mayweather.
I stopped reading after the bold part.......
As a Filipino, I never take Pacquiao's word seriously especially when he's not talking in his native dialect which is Cebuano or Bisaya coz sometimes when you try to translate a word (on the spot) to another dialect like Tagalog which is what he was using, it could change and Pacquiao was never really good orally when interviewed in the first place.
But based on that report, it's really not that good to hear. Anyways, his bad performance against Marquez serves an eye opener for him and he should never do a lot of things all at the same time.
He was his usual self, it just wasn't his usual opponent.
Maybe/Maybe not, but what I say is definitely true, that is, even with less aggression from Manny he was still ahead of the stats. Looking at the face of Marquez it was also evident that Pacquiao landed many harder punches.
Just like every title fight, the champion always gets the advantage in judges eyes and the challenger needs to step up and be the man and take the fight to the champion. But such was not the case for Marquez especially in the later rounds. I guess Pacquiao fought just like what a defending champion does instead of his usual aggressive game plan, it wasn't that effective but stats don't lie and he still won that bout. Just like I said the live audience which was majorly Mexican magnified the robbed thing instead of looking at the actual stats.
can anyone tell me how that compubox thing works since Pacquiao is ahead in every category in there.
I thought the fight's gonna end up in another draw or a split decision to Marquez but based on that compubox Manny is ahead and I was watching it in a not so clear tv coverage.
I thought that Marquez won some decisive rounds in 5-7 but Pac was able to show some resemblance of his old self after that 7th or 8th round. I was also surprised that Manny was playing it safe and didn't even try to use his right or some left uppercut but instead went always on his lunging left straight which had a lot of misses.
I thought Marquez won the fight also or could have gotten a draw but based on compubox stats Manny was ahead in every category so it's hard to tell if Marquez deserved a win, not unless compubox is rigged w/c is ridiculous.
I guess people calling Marquez was robbed is because Pacquiao was not his usual self and was already expecting a Pacquiao win in a dominating fashion so a calm and less aggressive Manny (tried to be a counter puncher) was a surprised and they began to think that Marquez outclassed him. I was contemplating and I guessed Manny's team had a wrong game plan but he was still the aggressor in the fight plus he was the champion, and it was also Marquez fault for being to passive and stick to counter punching at the later rounds instead of convincing the judges. Plus, emotion was high since most of the live viewers were Mexican as it was heard during the national anthem so the robbed thing was magnified instead of looking at the actual stats.
Marquez is Pacquiao's contrapelo.
yea totally ignore the fact that he was just headbutted in his chin rite? karma works both ways. stop being self righteous.
Ortiz already paid for that headbutt by getting deducted. Floyd pretended to hug then he hits him while Ortiz was just about to step back while Cortez wasn't even motioning of continuing the fight.
What Ortiz did was dirty but what Floyd did was Monumental Dirtiness.
If the clock was really timed in. How come Joe Cortez was looking outside the ring to check it?
If you'll try to defend what Floyd did then you're just as classless as the guy is.
If you call what transpired a great night for boxing then you must be really delusional. Boxing does not need a near dirty and controversial fight like this, especially when one of the fighter is one of the big names in the sport.
You'll only get people to switch to another fighting sport like UFC, which has been gaining ground.
Are you crazy. Controversy sells.
If you're looking for a short term view then yes, controversy sells. But people will get tired of it coz this is not WWE and Floyd and that dumbas$ Cortez made it look like one. Plus, you have Ortiz smiling after getting KO'd instead of complaining why he got sucker punched when the ref wasn't even LOOKING.
Makes you think that WWE has invaded boxing and people pay big money to watch a real sport.
That's why I get it when some people is saying that UFC is better because of stuff like this.
All that Pacquiao has to do is take the test and Mayweather will make him target practice.Pacquiao can only punch someone who's straight ahead, move left and he cant even throw a shot
lol.
The last resort of reasoning for Floyd fans. Face it your boy hasn't been in the ring for very long now. Might as well shut up and wait tell he comes back. Coz your just yapping on a lost cause.
Floyd is a great counter puncher but he just lacks action to keep Pac at bay. Pac got hit by a hard Margarito body punch twice and he didn't even went down. Floyd's lack the aggressiveness of Marquez when he counters and lack enough power to hurt Pac.
What I see if Pac-May happens is that Pac will likely accept getting hit by jabs just to open and break Floyd's defense. All it takes for Pac to break Floyd is one clear punch and Floyd will never be the same again. Pac's got a fist the size of a heavyweight plus a huge calf that's why he's punch is just that powerful.
boxing will not die if Pac leaves the sport or loses his fight with Marg.
But definitely it will hurt boxing popularity when Pac retires. He brought a lot of casual fans, non boxing fans (before Pac came) into the sport.
I tried not to label retarded Mayweather fans as Flomos but the way they flood non stop boxing right now with utterly idiotic threads makes me think that they deserved that label.
Wow, people calling 41k attendance disappointing? LOL
First off, I think it was because of bad schedule. Putting the fight at the same date with a football game. I can't believe some journalist will call it disappointing considering that kind of attendance is really big for a sport like boxing.
There's a reason why Floyd avoid left hand fighters. If Marquez was a natural Welterweight, he will definitely be a big problem for Pac. As for Floyd, defense will not always win you games.
Pac is quick, relentles with great footwork. It's like a fortress (Floyd) eventually the walls will come down with those barrage and he better be ready when it happens.
I think majority will agree with me that what Mayweather did was far worse for the sport.
Pac is now a congressman yet he still finds time to see him in the ring while Floyd is out there buying a 50k ipod and on vacation. Can you imagine that the now #1 P4P is on vacation when he was supposed to meet the #2 P4P.
Arum maybe an old b!tch but definitely Pac is a warrior.
I love how all the Pacquiao supporters criticize Floyd, yet fighting Shane Mosley at this juncture, counts for more than fighting Josh Clottey, and Margarito combined. And we all know Margarito isn't coming to fight. He's taking Arum's money to lose to Pacquiao. That is all. Floyd's win over Mosley trumps anything Pacquiao has done this year, or is going to do this year. And it's all Manny's fault. MAN-UP, and take the ****in' tests. Until then, it's Manny's fault this fight isn't being made. No matter how the Pactards slice it.
You mean to say most boxing experts and writers are die hard Pacquiao supporters since they're bashing Floyd right now.
It's alright, you're in the denial stage right now.
Just months from now you'll be in acceptance stage.
Floyd's ridiculed when he opens his mouth and starts contradicting himself. Now that he shuts up he is still being ridiculed probably because after all that loud mouthing we hear nothing from him when he's up with the biggest fight of his life.
Floyd last fought in May but everyone is pissed he's still on vacation...
Pac- 5 month vacation
Floyd- 3 month
Pac fought Cotto last november and he fought Clottey last March. You notice the time difference? Only 4 freakin months.
A month to heal his wound with Cotto fight and he's back into training. After he fought Clottey he then on went on campaigning.
I don't know where did you get that he's on vacation.
Team Pac also said they would take full drug testing. Turns out it wasnt true. Dont buy everything they sell kid.
How do you feel about his 147 pound fight being against JMM?
Look where it got your boy Floyd, with all his antics just to fight Pac. Sh!tting his career.
I know you're just frustrated since your boy got manhandled.
You just want to see Pac get beaten up so that you can finally release all those anger.
No Ceilings must have comprehension problems when Team Pac said they'll fight at 147 next and that was a week before Martinez knocks the sh!t out of PWill. That's what happens when hate fills up your entire brain.
Let Pac fight at 147 against Floyd if it's still possible or Berto maybe after that if Pac wins we can talk about Sergio vs Pac.
Marquez is definitely a sucker for left hooks.
He's so open when he does a left hook/uppercut, his body twist to draw power and you counter him with a left hook.
It's really up to Coach Roach if they think fighting Sergio at 154 or a catchweight 156 is possible, if Manny has a chance. Manny could still come in at welterweight come fight night, the only major problem is that now he's fighting really big guys.
I think Manny vs Sergio is a great thing money wise and for boxing as well since Floyd is too busy with court trials.
Just on the punch alone and not considering the previous knockdown of Hatton in the 1st.
I gotta go with Pac-Hatton KO, that was precise, calculated move and you can actually hear the punch just watching it in your tv. That's why Hatton was never the same again.
Martinez was more like an unorthodox punch, and Paul just got unlucky.
