His comments at the end of the article seem really disjointed and cherry picked, and could easily be taken out of context. Is there an actual interview I can watch?
you actually want to listen to khan speak? you a masochist?
i like how the end of the article is a quote from some UFC legend i've never heard of (who is she??!!) and they don't even bother to honour it with any discussion, probably because it is sheer nonsense, hahaha, brilliant stuff
Why would anyone want to see pulev fight a bum for the vanant belt
Joshua should be stripped, Pulev win the title, then Fury come back and bash up Pulev to take back the title.
If the fans weren't making fun of every boxer, who loses a fight or two, would more great fights be made constantly? Yes! Take a peek at the UFC for proof.
Great fights. UFC. Contradiction in terms.
if HBO/similar are showing it then it will be on in a great many people's homes.
all these idiots commenting don't have a clue.
there's tons of cheeky satellite hook ups in Cuba, it's the norm.
i remember running all round havana trying to find a hotel showing the hatton/pacquiao fight. next day spoke to a lad at the gym and he'd watched it at home as had half the city...
now, finding someone to let you watch it might be more complicated, but just get some internet cards and get a stream on your phone or something. might not work great but it'll do probably.
You might be able to watch it if you're in a 3-5 star hotel. They have American channels in these hotels. Otherwise forget about it.
nah, much more likely in a private home with satellite hook up
It's a page translation, probably a wrong translation for the equivalent of the word cruiserweight, but obviously this is about the CW title.
well olympic heavyweight equates to professional cruiserweight
Hi I started boxing about a month an a half ago and I have been improving massively this last 3 week (all you can improve at 15 years old) and my footwork is better but I still feeling like sometimes I am moving in a non-correct way like little jumps in stead of short nice steps . Any advice?
Could any one give a list of actual boxers with great footwork technique ?
there's many but for example check out the Cuban boxers, like Rigondeaux, Gamboa, Lara.
there's Mayweather of course.
For a very different style Pacquiao is good.
He had no problem evading Wlad's big shots, so why couldn't he land some big shots? Nope. Made no difference. Haye's a bum.
very true.
he also had no problem leaping all over the ring.
Rigo has had like 6 different trainers since he came to the states.
And when he was With roach, roach tried to force him to be more aggressive and he tod rigo if he didn't change his style it was going to really hold his career back.
Years later rigo wants to be aggressive...
Did you actually see any of the training Roach was doing with him?
It was straight out of his one size fits all Pacquiao template
"It has never affected me"
Yeah... well that's kinda one of the biggest problems with Khan, he doesn't seem to think getting sparked out or flattened is something he should worry about that much, or at least not to the extent that he'd change his way of fighting. I know I'm taking his meaning and twisting is slightly here but I still think its a valid point
So Khan didn't change his trainer twice on the back of two knockout defeats and changed his style each time?
Derp derp
oh i'm sorry, i hadn't noticed that up until this last fight he HASN'T gone in chin first, hands all over the place in every fight.
my mistake...
What I want to see is how Cuban fighters will look now that the amateur system uses a 10 point must.
The transition from amateurs to pros may be a lot easier and you may see fighters with a more diverse skill set that will be more marketable to the public.
Watch the AIBA World Series of Boxing
The Cuba team have steamrollered most of the opposition in this, their first season competing in the WSB, which is of course pretty much professional boxing if not quite exactly that.
Joe needs to STFU.
Jealous Froch sells far more tickets and has had way more big fights.
Evans Ashira indeed.
Jealous idiot with the most padded record in boxing history.
Froch is way more popular than Calzaghe ever was. He couldn't sell out a Studium in his own Town.
GO AWAY AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH. MUPPET
Well he did have 50k in a stadium in Cardiff actually, almost all the fans were his given the opponent was Danish
How many Nottingham fans were actually at Wembley last week? Not half as many as there were Londoners I can tell you that given I was there
India is now into boxing
Check their commonwealth and Olympic games records from recent times
Also just set up a professional body there
They have Cuban assistance in running their amateur programme nowadays
If only staredown victories counted as part of your official record...
They probably do for Froch - his losses seem to be added to his legacy for some weird reason
Fury using great technical and tactical ability to completely lock off Chisora
Chisora tends to be awkward to hit clean more than once so it went easy for fury to unload
However fury has caused a ton of damage to chisoras eyes to the extent that he now has to see a specialist and then make the decision whether to continue his career if that isn't made for him by the specialist
Who else has done that to chisora exactly?
Who else can switch effectively, control distance and be light on their feet at that weight AND still win big fights?
Then you get people saying Anthony Joshua is super exciting by beating the hell out of some old dude who hasn't trained and has no intention of throwing a shot back and no concept of defence. That to me is distasteful never mind boring
