Great, another olympic gold medalist that is going to get rushed. Usyk has an amateur style, in many ways he is similar to Lomachenko whose father I believe trains the two. He has the same flaws I seen in Lomachenko. No jab, no real inside fighting ability, that horrible earmuff defense with the same predictable three way twist. He needs time to grow. He is a good prospect but like Lomachenko I don't care how many fights he had as an amateur he is noway near the finished article. What champion are they matching him against? He isn't ready for Huck, Wlodacyrz or Hernandez Good talent but they should stop rushing these guys towards title shots they are not ready for. Does he just want to win a belt or become undisputed? The guy has got some real good potential. He's a southpaw, he's active with quite high and varied punch output...he has skills, good chin from what i've seen, and he's still young. He's not huge to be a heavyweight but he will fill out more and he's pretty big for a cruiser. I'd like him to be worked up responsibly and get a belt, then clean out the division if possible and then move up to heavy. He is just 27 years old, plenty of potential for the future if he is moved correctly.
