Good interview with Rigo. Basically says that he has worked with Rubio in the past and he wants him to become more aggressive.

Rigo is a bit of a diva to be honest.
He is. I think he came into the pro game with the mind set that "I'm the greatest amateur ever. These people can't tell me how to fight."
Yes and yes.
Hopefully a return to Rubio means a little humility on Rigo's part.
I'm going to go check out my boy Rubio this weekend then. He's a great trainer and has really showed me a lot myself. Very professional, very nice guy and knows his sh1t.

Now its looking like he's finally realizing that to make money and get the big fights in the pro game, it takes more than winning and outpointing. He needs to go for the kill and keep the crowd interested. Especially when his name is on the headline. Rubio, Roach and Ronnie Shields all tried to tell him this but he seemed too stubborn.
I like this move. He looked very good under Rubio especially against Teon Kennedy.

I don't like to see any fighter I like change coaches too often. At least Jorge doesn't count as a "new" trainer. lol
Of course, now I'm left wondering why Rigo left Diaz. Knowing Guille, it was probably a money issue. lol
The change to Pedro worried me cause they hadnt worked together in so long and it was right before the biggest fight. This change, Im not worried about.
Rigo has had like 6 different trainers since he came to the states.
And when he was With roach, roach tried to force him to be more aggressive and he tod rigo if he didn't change his style it was going to really hold his career back.
Years later rigo wants to be aggressive...
Did you actually see any of the training Roach was doing with him?
It was straight out of his one size fits all Pacquiao template
Rubio was infamously Amir Khan's trainer in the Breidis Prescott 54 second slaughter and was made the scapegoat and quickly fired straight after. Rubio was the guy who gave the green light to Frank Warren and Amir Khan to fight Prescott.
Having a top prospect get smoked in one round tends to get people fired. lol
Yea, I was told about this and I had told CubanGuy about it.
Like I said, Rigo chances trainers like he changes draws. But he's worked with all these guys before so theres chemistry between them.

Great interview, bro. Thanks. Rigo sounds very even-keel about his career and his soon-to-be-ex-promoter. It was interesting to read his response to increasing his aggression. Guillermo is still just a rookie pro. It's easy to forget that. He'll come around.
