I am not sure. Tim has no power at all. Khan is susceptible to power owing to his bad chin but Bradley does not bring that. I can see Khan possibly winning a decision.
Really? The same Bradley who openly admitted he thinks he'd lose to Khan?
Once again, styles make fights. Algieri has the height and reach to give Khan problems. Bradley doesn't.
This is how I see it. Khan is much bigger than Tim Bradley. He does not have to fear Bradley's power, so there is no immediate risk to mitigate.
Wilder is a good athlete with real power. His jab is not so bad, his uppercut isnt too bad either. He had a poor showing v Molina but looked much better v Stiverne. The Stiverne fight is his benchmark so far and it was not a terribly low one.
The ONLY reason you won't take the fight with Brook is because you know he will smash your glass jaw into a million pieces, Khan.
Watch Khan continue to make a career out of facing non-punchers, all the while getting buzzed like Algieria did to him on Saturday.
Khan is weak.
As per his own interview (youtube it) if he doesn't get Floyd, he'll face Thurman. Khan may lose to Brook (he may also possibly win the fight) but he has never ducked anyone. This reminds me of the talk of Khan ducking Maidana - until he didn't and beat him.
I think after Friday, Khan would be lucky to win 3 rounds against Floyd.
3 rounds is about what most people seem to be able to win at max v Floyd. Floyd is on another level.
Khan has fought better people by a mile - Aligieri and Devon are levels better than Gavin and JJD. Both Khan's guys are former champions and Devon is a excellent fighter. Some people dislike Khan as he is Muslim and they wrongly assume Middle Eastern. That is the sad, sad truth.
Ali is the greatest HW ever for me and I'd wager for most. He is a AT P4P top 10 guy - so his hype as a boxer is justified. He of course became more than a boxer and became bigger than boxing. He is a superstar - his face is world famous.
The only other boxer with anything like that sort of global name recognition is Mike Tyson. Now Mike is not loved like Ali - he is more infamous than loved- but everyone knows who Tyson is.
UK is not a small country - 65 million people is a lot. The UK does produce world class fighters with some regularity and that's really great for the sport.
Truth is boxing fans outside of 'events' are quite thin on the ground. This isnt a mainstream sport popularity wise. We are dedicated fans interacting with one another and so that may create a false impression.
This is a voluntary defence from Deontay. His mandatory is Povetkin sometimes this Fall I guess.
This fight will be an early KO - inside 2 rounds, probably 1st round.
Why do people keep saying Wilder has a "suspect chin"? what a load of BS. I'm starting to think most people have never seen Wilder actually fight, they just go off what Wilder-haters say on boards like this. Wilder took several nice shots from Stiverne, a 248 lb beast and was never even hurt. Meanwhile people talk about Povetkin's "great chin" as he goes down like 5 times to Wlad's jab.
Wilder does not have a "suspect chin", what a crock..
I agree with this. There is no evidence of DW having a poor chin. He took good shots from Stiverne who is a good puncher. The amateur stuff is a different world.
Wilder will inherit the division once WK retires/loses and he will rule for a long time. Dude is 29, athletic, strong, has a big heart and a nuclear right hand. WAR WILDER! :boxing:
I'm not interested in any of those fights.
I think Floyd should fight a young, up and coming Lion in his final fight. Now that would be going out with a bang.
These are the names that come to mind:
1. Keith Thurman
2.Terrance Crawford
3. Danny Garcia
Dark horse: Omar Figueroa (hey..once in a lifetime opportunity for the youngster)
Swift is not an up-and-comer. He is the #1 LWW by Ring and is the champion in his division. He maybe should step up to 147 (I'd like to see him fighter Broner first) but he is not some new kid trying to make a name.
Floyd has nothing left to prove. It doesnt matter who he fights next
Sums it up.
He could fight anyone and it won't harm to enhance his legacy as one of the very greatest fighters ever.
Tbh that Algieri wud beat Brook
but we will never know because kell is to busy fighting birmingham factory workers
Brook has 1 name on his entire resume - not this year or the last 2, 1 name period. Few of his peers take him seriously if all these interviews/statements are an indicator.
I don't dislike Brook - but he should build some real standing in the game before thinking the world is owed to him.
:lol1:
Does he also want Hearn as special guest referee?
The sanctioning body should just decide on the gloves - in each case to remove the room for such issues.
