I thought he looked bad vs the sub 50 ranked Arreola KO1 victim he fought a few days ago and in most of his other fights as well. His jab is uneducated, he always leaves himself wide open for counters, he pulls back with his hands down in straight lines. He has no ability whatsoever to fight on the inside. His balance and footwork are poor. No counterpunching ability. His accuracy is terrible. If he hurts an opponent he loses all composure and starts throws these big cartoonish windmill punches. The guy is one of the worst HW titleholders I have ever seen.
didnt he knock that guy out? Not trying to make excuses but it looked like he was just caught off balance
Yes he did and remember when you downplayed Fury for getting knockdown by a former champion? He knocked out Cunningham.
Looked good skill wise against Stiverne. Not as good on Saturday.
He has skills but needs to improve on that. More questionable is his chin, I would think. Its the HW, so most can KO anyone but he did look shaky a few times in his last fight.
Skills wise, I think that he has concentrated so much on KOing people that it took away from developing more his skills. Now that he moves up in level of competition, he will need to lift up his own skills.
Still, I see someone who CAN improve. So that is a good thing.
There's no video of Sconiers doing that. It was claimed to be a trip..
Sconiers dropped him hard on his ass. The video used to be on youtube but his team had all of it removed.
Remember when Wilder got officially knockdown by Peter Griffin?
:lol1:
I would have posted the vid of Wilder getting laid out by 17-20 bum Sconiers but his team had all the vids of that fight removed off the internet a couple years ago.
Fury basically has two decent wins. Chisora and Cunningham (who put him on his ass) and Skid Row. I'd rate Stiverne ahead of those guys easily..
Chisora and Cunningham were much better than overrated Stiverne. Fury beat an undefeated Chisora who W. Klitschko ducked and went on to be robbed against then top 5 Helenius and gave Vitali Klitschko a tough fight. Cunningham was a former world champ and consensus top 5 fighter who is the only fighter to ever knock Marco Huck out (Huck later beat up and was robbed vs Povetkin) has been robbed 2x against Adamek and in the last IBF eliminator vs top 10 Glazkov. Stiverne got beat up and stopped by bum Demetrius King and he was getting badly outboxed for 10 rounds by a fat shot sloth Ray Austin. After beating nobody Stiverne won a vacant title against Arreola who never beat anybody good. The sub 50 ranked schoolteacher's performance puts into perspective how bad and limited Stiverne was. Fury in spite of being younger with less fights clearly has a better resume than Wilder.
Of course he has SOME boxing skills...
Is he an elite tactical skill guy like lennox, wlad, byrd... No
But wilder showed good ring generalship using the jab to control stiverne...
I think he has an above average jab at heavyweight, and has pretty decent footwork and movement,,,
He isn't great but he does have some skills
There's no video of Sconiers doing that. It was claimed to be a trip..
It used to be up on youtube and most people from a 2-3 years back have already seen it. Wilder's team got it taken down.
I've never made a single Ali comparison to Fury, you're just making things up. Yes, Fury touched down against Cunningham. It was a hell of a shot. He got up and knocked Cunningham out. Nobody has ever stopped Cunningham before or since. USS was a good fighter. Wilder was laid out by a 17-20 bum Harold Sconiers who has fought as low as 191 pounds(cruiserweight).

The way you talk about fury you make him seem like hes on alis level. Infact hes so great he got knocked on his ass by a cruiserweight. Something wilder hasnt done.

Ali got knocked on his ass by Cooper (a CRUISERWEIGHT) and got knocked down from a bodyshot from Wepner, what does it matter?
You CANNOT deny that by the rankings that Wilder has fought lesser opposition than both Fury and Golovkin.

what great opposition has fury fought? a completely shot chisora?.
Why do you have to nitpick names? I'm saying in general and in quantity both Golovkin and Fury have fought more higher ranked opposition on average than Wilder has.
There's nothing wrong with it being fact, Wilder showed he has the talent to be great yet you're just trying to downplay fighters instead of just acknowledging what is fact.
By the way, Chisora was ranked higher than anyone on Wilder's resume until he fought Stiverne. Chisora beat Scott before Wilder did and Chisora was on a 5 win streak (4 KOs) when he fought Fury.
He definitely ain't got skillz like this dude

"his balance and footwork are poor".
Bro not hating but youre a fury fan, that guy is clumsy and sloppy as **** with a glass jaw but you make him out to be some iron chinned master boxer and bash wilder .
I've never once claimed that Fury was "iron chinned" or a "master boxer" but now that you brought up Fury and are trying to make direct comparisons I would say that Tyson Fury is superior to Wildman in just about every single aspect of boxing outside of punching power. Stamina, workrate, accuracy, ring IQ, generalship, inside fighting, footwork, counter punching etc.
Fury would have never struggled for a second with the sub 50 ranked schoolteacher.
Some, I think he relies too much on his athletic ability, and hasn't learned defense at the pro level.
It's amazing he's the WBC champ with just his athleticism. IF he continues getting better, and keeps learning especially on the defensive side of the game, he can be a real tough guy to beat.
Against Molina, he was just hit with too many shots for my liking. If he gets hit like that vs Klitchko, he's done.
