Margarito was a badass! I think he beat Williams and was on his way to ko Santos but Santos was saved because he was at home. I give Santos credit though he went head on with Margarito for almost the whole fight. Really miss those Margarito fights!
Shame Roidsley is a real cheater.
Check out what Nazim Richardson tried to do before the Cunningham vs Glowacki fight. It makes you think about who the real cheats are.
Benavidez should fight this guy or anyone else for that matter. It does not look like canelo has any interest in fighting him so Benavidez's waiting game might be for nothing.
I hadn't seen such a fuss made about such a close fight since canelo vs ggg 1.... I have seen some real robberies where everyone stays quite. Its crazy how the commentators and websites can rile a lot people up when they want to.
Not here to talk geopolitics or take any sides but how would taking a man's right to feed himself and his family solve any problem? Are they gona strip Beterbiev too? Cmon man get real!
Everybody with influence is a diplomate whenever they open their mouth, how do you know how Canelo feels about the war, he may have friends in Ukraine
The Ukraine invasion is going to affect the entire world in many ways, maybe Canelo is sickened by the vision coming out of Ukraine and wants to use his influence to help them in some way.
It's all speculation Canelo will do what he wants to do.
I dont know how canelo feels about the war and what ever opinion he has is his that is why I am not saying he should "condemn" Russia or anything else like your saying. What I am saying is canelo is a boxer and should concentrate on his training and on his fight with Bivol and nothing else. In other words concentrate on his job...
If Canelo wants to send a message what better way than to condem Russia throughout camp, wear Ukraine colors trucks boots and gloves, then KO Bivol and then denounce Putin in the after-fight interview.
I can see Canelo being a Marta in this fight with a massive impact on his career.
Why would canelo do that? What has Russia ever done to canelo or his country? What does canelo know about this conflict? Canelo is a boxer not a diplomat.
I said he could, not should lol, there a lot of scenarios how things could go.
You said..."if canelo wants to send a message what better way than to condemn Russia throughout training camp " among other nonsense, thats not saying "could" that is suggesting "should"...I said canelo should stick to what he knows and thats boxing not wars which he has no idea how they started. Keep it about boxing...
Navarrete would have to do a lot of roughhousing to neutralize all the holding Stevenson would do. Ugly boring fight I think. Now Navarrete vs Valdez or Nakathila would be a super exciting fight!
I wouldn't categorize Bivol or triple g as "white" but if he beats Bivol... after he beats triple g again he definitely should fight Benavidez, Charlo or even someone like zurdo.
Doesn't matter who wins, it's an undisputed title fight if Canelo beats Bivol.
Do you know how many guys have been undisputed in more than one weight division?
In the three belt era, it's a one man list: Evander Holyfield
Nobody has done it in the four belt era.
It does matter who wins, that's the point of the thread..."lizard man" thinks canelo is on a "white crusade". So he would have to fight a Hispanic or black before Smith.
Bivol and GGG are both half Asian, though. Each of them has a 100% ethnic Korean mother. The guy who made the thread is just a moron.
True...that's why I pointed it out in my 1st post "lizard man" has it wrong. Seriously I'm not sure about Bivol I think he has a chance and I would favor Beterbiev, I think hes the top dog at 175.
No, he shouldn't fight Benavidez, Charlo, or Zurdo after Bivol and GGG.
If he beats both Bivol and GGG he should fight the winner of Artur Beterbiev/Joe Smith (almost definitely Beterbiev). No question about it. That would be for the undisputed WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/Ring/lineal light heavyweight championship.
Benavidez, Charlo, and Zurdo need to be fighting each other. The three of them combined have fought a grand total of four world titlists in their careers (Anthony Dirrell, Cornelius Bundrage, Julian Williams, and Arthur Abraham) out of 100 fights. Artur Beterbiev will face his fourth world titlist in his 18th fight.
That's not a bad idea either...but only if it's Beterbiev. If it's Smith (which I doubt) after one of the aforementioned.
He can't pull the trigger...but he lands more punches vs Murata than Canelo threw vs Saunders. And throws 400 more than Canelo threw. It's like there is no good analysis on this site.
Murata stands right in front of his opponent with no movement, Saunders moves all over the ring. It's doubtful an older triple g does better against canelo than the younger one did.
Toney had good head and waist movement and was great at rolling punches. Fighters that actually took clean chin, tempo, and just straight face and head shots for years are fighters like Margarito, Andrade, Pavlik and more recently Golovkin. Those are the best chins I've seen.
Running lmao. These are the same fans who when mikey Garcia ran all night against Salido called him the Mexican Mayweather. Called Lomachenko a matrix, post videos of Tyson fury sticking and moving. Say that Canelo dominated the first GGG fight. But when Lara effectively uses stick and move it's "running."
You mean slap and move, all those other fighters you mentioned landed multiple hard punches on their opponents. Lomachenko would drop and ko his opponents what a stupid comparison, Lara is a slapper that thinks the pros are scored like ammeteaures and it looks like you are too.
All I saw were clean hard punches, lots of jabs and straight lefts to the head that snapped his head back all night. Clearly Lara has pop in his punches or else Alvarez would have fought more aggressively.
Canelo is the red head ok the one that cut the darker guy and hurt him to the body which send him on a marathon.if you didn't see that you need glasses or something ha ha!
Canelo beat Lara who thinks his amateur style can win him fights in the pros. Slapping gloves and arms and running around for the entire fight does not win fights in the pros. The only reason some fools say that Lara did good is because of the cheerleading the showtime commentators did, it got into certain people's heads. The Trout and Cotto fights were actually alot closer than the Lara fight.
All Terencebudcharlo poster does is troll canelo threads day n night. Not realizing he's just contributing to canelos popularity.
Lara didn't win the first and he won't win a 2nd fight ever. Canelo is not too small for 175 only haters like you say that.
Lara is a garbage slapper who has a ammeteaure slapping style and is dirty as they come. But I do think canelo has no business at light heavy.
All I see are insults so let's debate this like men.
Which rounds did you score for Alvarez because lara was "slapping." ?
Who did I insult ? Lara? ha ha c'mon ha ha....sorry I don't archive my score cards but I did rewatch it just to score it and it was wide for canelo. I also scored the Cotto and Trout fights vs canelo now those were close fights. I had canelo vs Cotto 115-113 You go watch the canelo fight vs Lara without volume and remember these are pros not ammeteaures.
the problem is Beterbiev is way slower than Bivol. not just in footspeed but handspeed.
there is a massive difference. Canelo has an elite defense. i don't see beterbiev landing much at all.
Beterbiev knocks out canelo and Bivol....
Look, get over yourself. This isn’t about you and your personal opinions. You thinking that bivol is a more technical fighter than charlo and benavidez is irrelevant. The point is that canelo had bigger fights he could’ve made that would’ve paid him more yet he chose to fight a lesser known who he was a bigger favorite against.
Ha ha calm down dude this is just for fun nothing to do with me or you. Bivol is more of a technical boxer than Benavidez or Charlo if you know about boxing styles you know that is true. Another fact is going up in weight class against an unbeaten fighter is always a risk. As for those "bigger fights" they could still happen. What were his odds against Benavidez or Charlo?
