In terms of skill? Well its not the rather one-handed fighter who freezes up when you put punches together and can't counter or box off the backfoot and blocks punches with his forehead. This is literally who Spence is. Amazing how backwards people can be in regards to what’s infront of their eyes. Anyway. I was wondering if people still think Spence is more skilled than Golovkin and can box better after he showed he doesn’t even know how to trade jabs.

Bro.....I saw golovkin get outboxed by Danny freaking Jacob's and beat up by Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Spence has beaten all elite welterweights and everything around him. entire thread is s joke.

I picked Spence I'm surprised people picked Golovkin everytime he faced elite competition he lost in fact his best performance vs a truly good fighter was a loss (canelo 1) he was good vs B+ and lower A class fighters tho

Having a great resume is only great if a person WINS. Losing to all of the good/great fighters you fight MIGHT earn a guy journeyman status (AKA The Del Bum Award AKA The Brass Medal) GGG is one of those guys that if he had a tougher prime, he'd have at least 4 L's and not qualify for the Nelo sweepstakes.

Spence is more skilled by far. GGG only looks good against tomato cans. He's struggled against every decent opponent he's fought even that Japanese bum Murata. It’ll be good to see Spence at 36+ wondering what he’ll manage without his insane output. He seems basic as can be otherwise.

Spence has more versatility to his game than Golovkin.

I’d say close to even. Both fight better coming forward but both can fight off the back foot. Spence’s inside game is another level, GGG harder puncher, neither have been knocked down but we can assume G is more durable.

Spence can fight inside, Golovkin can’t really fight inside. Spence’s style a high output potshotter nowadays, it’s jab jab left to the body, jab jab left to the head, jab jab etc he doesn’t really stop and there isn’t much setup, feints or counters. Golovkin in his prime had a high output also, but he’s always been more methodical, he hooks off the jab, and sets shots up, counter’s, feints etc. And he’s simply much more powerful than Spence. People saying Spence can fight off the backfoot haven’t a clue what fighting off the backfoot is, Spence’s backfoot game is nearly non-existent, he’s fast on his feet if not a little stiff but his offense is pathetic, and I always laugh at his counter (99% of the time a left cross) off the backfoot, always laboring/pushing due to a weak back leg. Golovkin can KO you on the backfoot, piece you up, turn you, pivot’s very well he can actually “fight” while backing up, and he has some of the most impeccably purposeful footwork there is which is why he rarely touches the ropes even as an old man. Spence can run around on the backfoot, that’s about it. And head to head obviously Golovkin would kill Spence p4p. Who has Golovkin Kod on the backfoot ?

I think Porter is better than Jacobs I agree and that says a lot about Golovkin's resume lacking if you're comparing it to Spence.

Yeah can fight inside/outside, front foot or back foot, better punch variety etc. GGG was an absolute terminator at his peak but he was far less effective if you could put him on the back foot. Thats Fair
