Cotto looked really really good last night. Now this was against Mohamman Abduelav who isnt a bad fighter but isnt a top fighter in the division. Ill be interested to see how he fares in his next fight which could be against a top light welterweight contender.
it was a knockdown the beltline is considered fair play some of the body shots that wright was throwing on trinidad were about there plus there was just a small portion of the glove below the beltline
cotto sucks as ive said before he got rocked by chop chop they robbed chop chop in cottos home country and he will get bitched around by either gatti harris mayweather or hatton i wouldnt be surprised if he loses to this guy on saturday
None of this makes sense to me. His punching doesn't change as far as his adapting to his opponent but the form of his punching changes? Is that what you're trying to say? I didn't see any evidence in that fight where he lost his punching composure or his form changed. Every time he got hit (which was mainly on the ropes because Abbie did NOTHING in the middle of the ring or in counterpunching oppotunities) he would take the shot, fight off the ropes with combos, bodyshots, or uppercuts, and reset. I really saw nothing to support your claim.
i agree 100%
mcbride still won the fight it seems your trying to put down the win a win is a win tyson was obviously getting frustrated as he went to his frustrated tactics. Maybe some of the shots that normally would knock out other guys werent knocking out the 40 pound heavier mcbride so tyson went to his low blows and arm breaking moves. If he wanted to quit he wouldve just quit not quit with no class.
he is the best in the division right now and id say the best p4p fighter in the world he is arguably the best fighter in the past decade besides roy jones. You cant deny what the man has accomplished and i hope he retires on top as not to blur his career as an ali or tyson did losing his last 2 fights.
there shouldnt even be an argument here cotto beat the crap out of abduelav and he took some good shots that obviously didnt hurt him cause he kept coming back even if he was hurt he does a nice job of throwing a combo back after he gets hurt to make it look like he wasnt dazed to the judges.
cotto did get hit with some pretty good shots I remember abduelav hit him once with a vicious right after the break and cotto acted like it was nothing.
pushing wasnt even a problem it was the armlock and the headbutt and the low blow mcbride just fought a very good strategic fight by leaning on tyson sort of like john ruiz does as long as he got away with it i give him props for a good strategic fight
haha yea klitschko is so dumb when he fights these bums if he wants to fight a true legend tell him to go and get his ass beat by roy hes looking for a win
It was a fierce battle that left Tszyu looking like he'd been hit with an axe and urinating blood as a result of the blatant low blow that put him on his knees in round nine.
Lewis was furious that English referee Dave Parris did not penalise Hatton for the vicious left hook to the groin that crushed whatever resistance Tszyu still had.
"I thought it was very weak of the ref," Lewis said. "Had an Australian referee like Billy Males or Trevor Christian seen a fighter do that they might very well have disqualified him.
"The Hatton camp accused Kostya of throwing low blows too but his were borderline and nothing so blatant as Ricky's shot.
i think tsyzu might have a long shot in a rematch hatton also said in australia he would fight him so that could be a big deciding factor with perhaps a more tsyzu ref breaking and calling boxing fouls or usa with impartial ref
only problem would be they would have to go over like 4 hours just to include everything that has happened in his life from the rape to the ear to tokyo to williams to mcbride
For the people saying Abdullaevs eye was shut...
Carmen Basilio fought 12 rounds against Robinson with his eye shut....
Look at Gatti against Rodriguez...
Kevin Kelly against some guy I cant remember...
Corrales against Castillo...
they actually got gattis eye open its pretty plain and simple would you race with one leg no than why fight with 1 eye when your eyes are the biggest factor in a fight. If a guy gets something in his eye they call time but it would just be stupid to go on with a swollen eye and possibly become permanently blinded
i think promoter might be a possibility but the only problem is who would be willing to front him money to get him started or who would let him represent them
haha yea you hear him talking about sudan afterward he actually sounds like he is like a smart guy just people get the wrong impression a book or full documentary would be worth a look.
