Since when is it OK to QUIT?!?!
Boxing has been my favorite sport for over 10 years now, based on the heart, determination, courage, and pride that pro fighters exhibit in the ring. The 90's wasn't exactly a golden era of boxing, but guys like Holyfield, DeLaHoya, and Finito Lopez exhibited the traits that I was talking about....
Nowadays, on nearly every big fight card, somebody quits. WHAT THE F#@%????? Since when is quitting acceptable? Where's the heart? Courage? Where's the freakin' cojones?
I believe we need to categorize fighters a little more accurately in this new age of boxing. Forget about weight classes, experience level, quality of opposition. There's only 2 things I want to know about fighters now: Are you a WARRIOR, or a QUITTER?
Here's a tentative list, in no particular order.... feel free to add/subtract/modify:
QUITTERS: Tyson, Tszyu, Abdullaev, both Quitschko's, Freitas, Golota
WARRIORS: Gatti, Mayweather, Corrales, JL Castillo, Judah, DeLaHoya, Barrera, Morales, Pacquaio, Winky, Margarito, Johnson, Tarver, Hopkins
