Anatoly Lomachenko hands down! He took a young kid and made him into the best in the world both amateur and professional.
Yeah not even close. He coach the Ukrainian Olympic team with usyk and gzodvyk. Easily gets the most out of his boxers.
Canelo easy. Seems to be everyone favorite. I'm not that big on him as most are but he gets the easiest fights to make. Everyone wants a piece of that canelo money.
Yeah a lot of IBF fans in here. Also IBF easily for me. Doesn't seem corrupted and they follow their guidelines pretty strictly when it comes to mandos. Only 1 belt per division which is also great. I would do away with the others and keep IBF if given the choice.
He just seems limited... His resume is good but he doesn't box as well as other p4pers.
Defense is super suspect his power isn't going to knock out everyone if be keeps moving up. I do favor him against everyone around his weight class though.
I actually want to see him fight Easter. I feel like the size difference might pose a challenge. Mikey is too orthodox. I don't feel like Mikey is fast enough to keep up with Loma but Easter might be able to bully him.
He needs to move up though. No need to hover around 130. Nothing for him to prove there.
I see everyone having canelo in their top 3 at mw. Why? He haven't done anything at mw to get that ranking. I would bet money he'll get outbox by saunders.
I would put money on ggg canelo saunders and jacobs to beat him. Don't know about charlo yet cause I haven't seen enough of him at 160.
Murata and devy are 50/50 for me. And this if they go up to 168
Top 5. I'll probably put him behind fury for sure maybe below Parker but not farther than five. Hard to weed out the top.
I'm not even sure how good Wilder is. If I bet it's probably be Ortiz over Wilder tomorrow.
Hard for to root for the guy who talks about money instead of the fight. I like Jacob he's well spoken but seems like the fastest way to get to ggg canelo is to best Charlo and get that Mando spot.
Charlo seems to genuinely fight for his pride. Hard not to respect that.
In general I think trainers are overrated. Thats not to say any a$$hole sitting in a gym with a towel around his neck can train you. But I think most guys who achieve big things were gonna achieve them, within a certain margin of error, with a lot of high level trainers.
I mean look at a guy like Mike Tyson. If he'd have had Cuz D'Amato & Kevin Rooney as his brain trust for longer he'd likely have reached a higher peak (imo anyway), but later after Cus passed & Rooney was dumped, Tyson with mfers who used a condom for an enswell was winning/defending world titles.
Specifically with this fight it seemed like neither Hunter OR Dirrell were fully into their particular tasks last night. It was a weird a$$ situation. Dirrell didn't seem to trust or listen to Hunter & Hunter wasn't even bothering to get in the ring past a certain round I don't think. To me it looked like Stitch called the fight, maybe cuz he knew the whole story before & during the fight as an observer, but I couldn't quite makeout the audio so idk that for sure. Either way this didn't seem like a fighter/trainer matchup that was "working" before this fight from how quick things went south in this fight.
What about lomachenko dad? Dud was the coach of the Ukrainian boxing team and it seems like all of those guys have really solid foundation. Seems like a great coach for me but i do agree with you to an extent. Without talent the trainer isn't going anywhere.
I don't need to turn the volume down, I've seen thousands of fights. Wilder isn't a high volume puncher anyway so what's the beef?
It was a good scrap, I was on the edge of my seat. I wanted Ortiz to win too and I'm not mad that he didn't. Wilder did really good, much better than I thought.
What was the last fight that made you happy? Curious!
Estrada rung fight. I generally don't like watching tiny guys fight but that was entertaining. Nor do I like HW fights because the lack of skill but watch last night because the hype around it.
Bivol has no inside game and beterbiev will exploit that but yea no doubt bivol outside game is very impressive and beterbiev will take a few shots getting up close. It's the best match up I can think of bar beterbiev vs Kovalev at LHW
I think the best match it is godzvyk vs bivol. Both have good footwork and fast hands. I think bivol is studier though.
Feel like beterbiev is too stiff to make it in an inside fight against bivol. Bivol is a joy to watch when he steps back to avoid a shot and then step right back in and throw more combos.
He throw a lot of one two. I like the way how he steps back and steps right back in the pocket. He's pretty exciting. Missed the fight last night though. Anyone upload it on YouTube yet?
The Fury of 3 years ago or the Fury
who hasn't fought since, rehabbed for coccaine, ballooned to over 100 lbs over his best fight weight ?
The Fury who fought Klitchko I would say has a good chance but that 2015 form is not coming back the way he abused his body since.
I think if BJ's can get blown overweight and was out of boxing for a couple of years anyone can do it. Fury still young and after a few fights muscle memory would kick in I would think.
That fury that fought wlad I just don't see Wilder being able to lay a hand on him. He barely hit stationary Ortiz.
-1 for being a bítch. I was rooting for Ortiz, but that was a good fight man. Why you hating alt? Lose bunch of cash on Wilder perhaps?
Watch replay without volume and see the number of punch out put or technique or anything that resemble skills in that boxing match. Wilder threw something like 57 punch after the 5th round! That's terrible boxing.
Not an alt buddy nor did I bet that match. I thought Ortiz would win cause Wilder is so basic I wouldn't even give him a c grade as a boxer. I was wrong but not like I care if I'm wrong.
I don't hate on boxers nor am I a rooting interest in any boxer. I just call it how I see it.
Jermall is already mandatory to ggg belt so I doubt he'll take a risky fight while he wait.
Jacobs should go after saunders if canelo ggg ends up with that rematch. That's an all risk no reward for BJ's though so I don't know if he's willing to take that chance.
GGG has done more than both Loma and Crawford. Who is Crawfords best win anyway? Golovkin has beaten Geale Lemieux Brook Jacobs and according to most critics Canelo as well.
Loma resume is better than ggg. Easily. I like ggg but grj and Walters are great wins. Nobody on ggg list matches those two. People are just under estimating those wins because it was so effortless on his part. It's safe to say that Loma and Crawford is the man at two weight while ggg have been the man at only one weight.
Had ggg beating canelo too but that doesn't officially count.
Wilder should not be anywhere on this list. That's an embarrassment.
I agree. I don't tend to care for the title "World Champion" much more just cause how watered down that title is with how many division they are. Crawford was a legit champ, Thurman and Spence are legit champs. A lot of people hold a belt who I don't consider legit champs.
Garcia have yet to prove he's a top 10 ww. Winning a vacant belt against someone who literally lost to a cab driver the next fight doesn't prove anything.
How only credible opponent was Thurman and I have no idea how that was a split decision. He was thoroughly outclassed and that was with Thurman not even engaged the last few rounds.
Only thing Garcia have going for him if that chin and it's gonna get cracked by someone like Spence.
Loma easily its almost watching a choreographed movie. His showboating is starting to piss me off though. We know your in a different class then your opponents no need to rub it in
4/1 fav for ggg. Seems pretty straight forward. Kov-ward and lsc frampton were pretty close to even money so no this isn't that close of a call. Gonna call ggg by late corner stoppage.
Where u getting this 4/1 fav?
Oh saw it before the the fight was announced. Just checked it again and its almost 1:1. That's interesting. Probably put some money on ggg.
What we think in here? Another Charlo-Williams type fight where one guy is a little overrated prematurely or is Lubin the goods? We've seen this Charlo gettin handled by Jackson until he iced him....
Not sure if he's good but I rate him higher then Hurd. I don't rate Charlo all that high anyways so its a good fight. Think he'll pull it off.
