As of late there hasn't been many fights where I have struggled to predict the "more likely" outcome of a fight. But I'll be honest with this one, I have absolutely no idea who takes it. I have no idea who will be dictating the pace of the fight. I have no idea how long this fight will go.
Is this one of the more "evenly matched" fights in recent years? Does one have a distinct advantage over the other that I don't know about?
You actually think Canelo is capable of losing any fight on the scorecards?
You must have never watched Lara vs Canelo or Mayweather vs Canelo.
without oscar on his side i would say canelo has 0% chance of beating GGG. oscar will try anything to give canelo an edge
No, I don't think so. Unless Canelo stops Golovkin, I just don't see him beating him on just counter punching and fighting in spurts alone as opposed to GGG's high volume punching and work rate.
Ginger runs the risk of losing on the scorecards or even getting stopped if he doesn't hurt Gennady or his punch volume is too low and if he is not throwing enough punches, to the point where GGG is consistently beating him to the punch.

Fight will end in between 6 to 8 rounds. GGG will fight at a high pace like he did with Brook, he'll eat a lot of weather while laying a bit of his own.
The high pace and intensity will wear Canelo down, he'll slow down by round 4/5 and Golovkin will start walking him down and knock him out.
Easy fight to predict.

4/1 fav for ggg. Seems pretty straight forward. Kov-ward and lsc frampton were pretty close to even money so no this isn't that close of a call. Gonna call ggg by late corner stoppage.GGG is about a 7 to 5 betting favorite now. He isn't anywhere near a 4 to 1 favorite.
I am a big fan of both of these great champions. I have no trouble picking GGG to win but obviously many fans have trouble picking a winner and it's considered a close fight. I just compare how I think they would do if they fought each other's recent opponents. I think GGG KOs Cotto, Trout, Lara, Kirkland, Khan and Smith with ease. I think Canelo would have a very hard fight with Lemieux and Monroe although I think Canelo would win. I doubt that Canelo could beat the rather huge middleweight Jacobs that GGG recently fought. Because of a very early weigh in Jacobs was able to come into that fight very heavy. Jacobs wasn't weighed on that fight night but most guessed he weighed at least 180 pounds and perhaps 10 pounds more than GGG weighed. I think GGG's great left jab, his superior strength and punching power and his higher average number of punches thrown and landed per round will win him a ud or a KO. Both men have excellent chins but I think GGG has the better chin. They are both great body punchers with some body punch KOs.
Where u getting this 4/1 fav?
Oh saw it before the the fight was announced. Just checked it again and its almost 1:1. That's interesting. Probably put some money on ggg.

It is quite well matched but only because we dont quite know how good Canelo is. GGG on the other hand hits too hard for most mws so he should for canelo too. But who knows?
Along with AJ v Wlad and TC v Indongo this is a match up of the year contender.

Ward and Kovalev was the same way for me. A true 50/50 fight where you don't know who will win.
