This fight got a bit overshadowed last night.
This kids a beast no other way of putting it.
Thankfully the Cleverly fight didn't happen that would of gotten real ugly.
Johnny!! Enjoyed our boy's performance last night?
Did a number on Barrera.. made him look like Sillyman Barrera for taking the fight..
I guess Bivol won a few guys over last night and proved he is the real deal..
Yep, very impressive. These guys in 175 are in trouble.
I've been following Bivol for a month now and was much more excited about his fight than the others of the night. He has a clear cut, textbook Soviet école. Do what I do, watch him and learn :D .

I think the best match it is godzvyk vs bivol. Both have good footwork and fast hands. I think bivol is studier though.
Feel like beterbiev is too stiff to make it in an inside fight against bivol. Bivol is a joy to watch when he steps back to avoid a shot and then step right back in and throw more combos.
He kind of reminds me of LHW version of Manny packman but beterbiev is a beast there's a reason why most LHW fighters respect him to us he might seem stiff and bog-standard but hes got allot more skills then jsut fighting on the inside.
Bivol has no inside game and beterbiev will exploit that but yea no doubt bivol outside game is very impressive and beterbiev will take a few shots getting up close. It's the best match up I can think of bar beterbiev vs Kovalev at LHW

Watching now. Looks sensational.
Hope we get some fights between him, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Jack/Stevenson and Gvozdyk.
That is some serious talent. Great division if the fights are made!
Bivol looked really good. He really surprised me by making Barrera look completely out of his depth. The only other guy able to do that to him was Ward, so Bivol is already among good company. I look forward to seeing more of him this year!
I know Mikalkhin was all bloody and got stopped but is it me or Kovalev's right hand didn't seem to have its usual thump. I don't like this current version of Kovalev's against the other top dogs at LHW. In hindsight, Barrera probably made a bad decision, it should have went the Kov's route instead of Bivol.
They say the last thing to go in a punchers his power. I assume Mikhalkin has a great beard. It certainly surprised me he took Kovalevs shots so well.
Kovalev was quite dominant but everything looked off to me. His footwork especially it was so clumsy, his power, defense. He was also blowing as early as round 3. He looked very vulnerable and despite finishing strong I always got the impression the tide could change especially down the stretch.
I was watching this fight on PC while watching Wilder Ortiz on my phone. (multi tasking ) and I noticed that Bivol knocking out Barrera and Wilder knocking down Ortiz happened within seconds.
He throw a lot of one two. I like the way how he steps back and steps right back in the pocket. He's pretty exciting. Missed the fight last night though. Anyone upload it on YouTube yet?
Ward was in his camp actually possibly doing a bit of scouting. Seen a few interviews and Ward really praises him.
Its a fight I'd love to see. Who do you think takes it Dan?
I'll take Ward just solely on experience but to be fair I haven't watched too much of Bivol but from what I've seen he looks good.
Phenom is a great way of putting it.
Exactly how I see the division. I am a fan of both Kovalev and Bivol but feel that would be a passing of the torch fight especially after seeing last nights performances. (Mikalkhin better than expected but I thought Kovalev looked quite bad).
I'd love nothing more than wbss to pick it up and have a LHW tournament. These beasts need to fight each other.
We saw two fighters struggle with the southpaw stance last night, the struggle was real. I would like to see him vs. Bivol, so we get to see how much competitive spirit he has left. Is he just gonna allow the new guy to replace him? It is a great match-up.
I called it a while ago, Bivol is the next big thing at 175, the guy is a special talent. Kovalev is going to get krushed.

I only caught a couple of rounds because of the other card but what stood out to me the most was his quick hands.
I hope they make Kovalev vs Bivol next. None of this "the fight will make more money down the line" stuff.
