I think he'll take round one to find his distance, time him and see what Danny's made of. Soon enough Danny will get landed with those bombs and once Matthysse sees he can land on him he will punish Danny until he KOs him.
Peterson was a faster, more crafty boxer, Danny being slower and not that good a boxer will get caught by the grinding machine early in the fight.
You stole my avatar you thieving bastard. :D
Despite if he has improved or not Garcia fights nothing like those two. He doesnt have their footwork, their footspeed or hand speed.

Which makes the result even more inevitable then...Matthysse by execution.
Matthyse has so much power its hard to tip against him - but Zab and Devon showed he's not invincible
Come on man, he has improved so much more since those fights - fights he was robbed in. He is a whole different machine (literally) now.
I honestly think George Groves would win a clear decision if he fought DeGale again. Groves has come on leaps and bounds since their first fight. If he can't beat Groves, he has NO chance of beating Froch. Carl would annihilate him.
Don't understand how anyone in boxing would want to kill them self within 4 days of such a big fight.
R.I.P.
Maybe, just maybe, there is more to life, and more important things, than boxing. Just saying...
Do you know the cause of death?
Been hearing some quite disturbing rumours...
Rubbish few days for boxing with Dean Powell and Morrison both leaving us way too soon and in sad, sad circumstances. We're losing way too many blokes at the moment.
This comes after the suicides of the Smith brothers and Darren Sutherland, as well as Frank Bruno's well-documented problems.
I don't want to rant at this moment....but I want to see people like the British Board of Control take a long, hard look at what they might be able to do and offer some kind of counselling and support network for fighters and trainers (both past and present) and see how it could be funded.
There should be benefits to holding a Board of Control licence that extends beyond an opportunity to fight, manage and train. Robert Smith and his team could be forging partnerships with big, well-funded and expert charities like MIND and even the NHS.
It really does not need to be expensive or elaborate - just a recognition that a problem exists and the ability to deliver quick, early access to expert advice with the Board of Control acting as a trusted, first point of contact and referer.
I tried clicking on the Professional Boxing Association website to see if it was up and running - it was a great idea by the always enlightened McGuigan who recognised the need to offer education, advice etc - but it seems to have fallen by the wayside.
Tris Dixon, editor of Boxing News, wrote a six page special on depression in last weeks mag. He is trying to get the BBBofC to offer more help to the many boxers who suffer from the illness. Sadlly, in the most macho of sports, not many fighters feel comfortable expressing their demons. :(
Tragic. RIP Dean.
I am not a Khan fan by any means. I'm British, for the record, and the **** that comes out of his mouth pisses me off now end. I do think, however, he is probably, apart from Canelo, the toughest opponent Floyd could fight. As mentioned many times, he has the skill and hand speed to cause Floyd problems and I think Floyd would have trouble keeping him off of him at times. The only thing that let's Khan down is his chin (as we all know) and Floyd will connect a straight right on it eventually and then it will be the Judah-dance again for our friend Amir. I think the fight will be made once Amir beats Alexander later this year. It may not be 'earnt' due to his recent losses and performances but, money wise, it's a big fight and it will sell.
With all due respect...who gives a ****? (Apart from yourself).
This fight has about as much relevance to the boxing world as my fight with a moth last night.
Did you miss the Diaz fight? Is Diaz anywhere near Floyds level? I hope you are right, because I want to see this fight as well, but I don't see him even beating Alexander.
Yeah I saw the Diaz fight. I was on the edge of my seat when Julio gave him jelly legs wanting him to finish Khan off. Of course Diaz isn't anywhere near Diaz's level. I just think Khan underestimated him to be honest. If Khan goes into the fight with Floyd with the same mindset and tactics as he did with Judah, he will at least last into the second half of the fight. We know though that Khan loses his head when he gets tagged and throws all logic/tactics out of the window. Thats what makes his fights exciting. Khan doesn't have a chance of beating Floyd - but he makes hard work of it for May for a few of the rounds at least.
When he is being serious, Tyson Fury is actually very knowledgeable about the sport. He talks a lot of sense and made some great points in the interview.
Still fuming this has been cancelled.
Awesome tickets booked, hotel booked, £100 bet on Haye to win in four.
David Haye you are a grade A bellend.
Sky Sports probably won't want to work with him again.
If Amir spent as much time in the gym as he does flashing his pencil dick on Skype, he might cause Floyd a few problems but he doesn't. Dude doesn't deserve a Floyd payday like he doesn't deserve his wife.
I don't believe anything I read about boxing. The only thing I take as gospel is what I see in the ring - and even then I doubt what I am witnessing. :blow:
Plus, the guy doesn't have a promoter's license, and his stable of fighters are downright garbage.
No one's paying to watch J'Leon Love or Ishe Smith.
Or our very own Ashley Theophane.
That's one signing I can't get my head around. Saying that, he performs better in the US than he does in the UK.
I'm from the UK, and whilst Ricky is one of the nicest guys in the business, he was shockingly poor last night and the way he got to keep his title was an absolute disgrace. I scored it 115-112 Beltran. You could tell by the reaction of the crowd that they had just witnessed a crime. I've tweeted Eddie Hearn asking how much he paid Ortiz. I don't expect a reply.
PS and people think Floyd would come over here to fight Amir Khan... :blow:
I honestly don't believe Fury is ducking price. Fury is a traveller and, let's be honest, fighting is what they do. I think Fury has been calling him out because he does, genuinely, dislike him and does want to fight him. I think it is more to do with his team/Hennessey who see, potentially, how much bigger the fight could be - especially with one or both holding a world title. No point them fighting now when nothing is at steak except pride and being able to calll themselves best heavyweight in Britain (David Haye excluded). Fury has a world title shot in, potentially, three fights time so he won't be fighting Price - yet. Let is build a little...
Fury vs Price. Heavyweight unification fight. Summer 2015. ;)
You seriously need boxrec to figure out Floyds fighting Guerrero? lol comeonbroskii
Na of course not - but just saying when it's on there, it's usually happening.
It has been for at least a couple weeks~
Checked last week and pretty sure there was no fight lined up...
Anyway, they rarely put up fights that ain't happening so I guess that's that then.
That clears that up then.
2 x super champions and a regular champion would've been too much. Without forgetting throwing an interim into the mix too...
