The Danny Garcia vs. Lucas Matthysse Prediction Thread. **ITS ON!**

Please use this thread to discuss the bout between Lucas Matthysse and Danny Garcia and move over to the Canelo-Mayweather sticky when it's over. Matthysse seems very eager to fight Garcia, but not so much the other way around it seems. Should Lucas defeat Peterson, surely this is the fight to be made at 140. This is from "When did it become alright for fighters to duck each other" Thread. This pretty much says it all. Another aspect is that even when these guys take a step up, it's a very calculated step up, mattysse is a good example of it. He was very beatable but looked extremely dangerous to the public so danny beating him looked like some great victory when it really wasn't. You gotta explain yourself with this post, 70% of hardcore boxing fans picked Matthysse to win, which fight(s) did Matthysse look "very beatable" in? If anyone looked beatable it was Danny, who slowed down the last 3rd of the Judah fight.

Yep lots of sig worthy quotes, Don't really want to see a rematch now. Am glad for both to go their separate ways for at least two to three fights, they both need to keep winning and hopefully they would meet again in a bigger fight.

Lol, eyes swell in boxing. Danny won and that's that. Not usually as bad as that, and certainly not in the way it happened. Danny did win, and deserved to win but that was very unfortunate for Matthysse.

You say 'eye injury' as if the ref accidently poked him in the eye while breaking them up. I swear I have the fight on dvd and I keep rewinding that 7th round. People were saying oh the swollen eye happened in the 6th, WRONG. You can literally hear the SNAP when he broke this dudes face. That's my word. Danny broke this so-called punchers face. LITERALLY.
