Did you miss the Diaz fight? Is Diaz anywhere near Floyds level? I hope you are right, because I want to see this fight as well, but I don't see him even beating Alexander.
Yeah I saw the Diaz fight. I was on the edge of my seat when Julio gave him jelly legs wanting him to finish Khan off. Of course Diaz isn't anywhere near Diaz's level. I just think Khan underestimated him to be honest. If Khan goes into the fight with Floyd with the same mindset and tactics as he did with Judah, he will at least last into the second half of the fight. We know though that Khan loses his head when he gets tagged and throws all logic/tactics out of the window. Thats what makes his fights exciting. Khan doesn't have a chance of beating Floyd - but he makes hard work of it for May for a few of the rounds at least.
I am not a Khan fan by any means. I'm British, for the record, and the **** that comes out of his mouth pisses me off now end. I do think, however, he is probably, apart from Canelo, the toughest opponent Floyd could fight. As mentioned many times, he has the skill and hand speed to cause Floyd problems and I think Floyd would have trouble keeping him off of him at times. The only thing that let's Khan down is his chin (as we all know) and Floyd will connect a straight right on it eventually and then it will be the Judah-dance again for our friend Amir. I think the fight will be made once Amir beats Alexander later this year. It may not be 'earnt' due to his recent losses and performances but, money wise, it's a big fight and it will sell.

Khan has virtually all the tools to do it.
Except ring I.Q....which is a big problem.
and chin and endurance.
Khan already peaked, he barely beat Julio Diaz. He isn't the Khan everybody thought he was going to be. He fell short.
Just rewatched the first four rounds, boy was i off. It was way closer than i remembered. I need to rewatch the whole fight. I scored it 2-2 or 3-1 if im generous, but it was very competetive. My bad!
Mayweather even seemed to start off slow, he probably put the pedal to the metal after the first four, not judah gassing. These four imaginary rounds i had in mind was key factor in my prediction, further study is needed.
At least your man enough to admit the error. Much respect for that. You sound like a real fan of boxing and not just a fan of Khan's.
IDH...future bet. I trill if Khan Floyd fight...I got Khan beating Floyd! :fing02:
You've got everyone beating Floyd, until they don't! Then Floyds a cherry picker who ojly fights guys he knowd he can beat.
It does show something for the Canelo fight though, Floyd takes 2-3 rounds to get into his rhythm. Alvarez needs to strike early.
lol "possibly"...
We disagree on both points.
I would say Judah in 2006 is arguably faster or as fast so yeah, possibly.
The second point is just hilarious. There's no way Khan is he best offensive fighter Mayweather will have faced. Khans offense is extremely limited.
For some reason I think Khan at 147 is going to be a beast. Think about it, had it not been for the controversial loss to Peterson he would have already been at 147lb by now. I don't think his Jaw is titanium, but I believe he's outgrown 140lb and his punch resistance is weaker.
He cant handle swarmers, but perhaps boxers without punching power is his best matchup, at least Judah and Mallinaggi was dominated by Khan.

Which of these two fighters would provide the greatest stylistic and actual challenge to Floyd Mayweather in the ring and why?
Neither presents a challenge, but Khan would present more of a challenge than Garcia because of his speed and style. Both get stopped though. Spare me the foolish "he has no power" responses before you waste your keystrokes.
This is what happens when a fighter is immaculate for the majority of his career, 4 competitive rounds equals deep trouble/deeply bothered. If Judah was that much of a problem for Mayweather he wouldn't have solved him within the usual 4 rounds.
You're also oversimplifying things. Judah ''bothering'' Mayweather wasn't just down to his speed, he was setting traps and timing Mayweather, things that Amir Khan does not do. He's stays in a gear and that's about it, there's no subtly to his punches.
Best post in this thread so far.
I think Garcia because of his timing
Khans speed wouldn't factor in that much I can see him getting broken down to the body and stopped late khan tends to back up in straight lines and that's never smart versus someone as skilled as Floyd he also comes in at straight lines too so I can see him getting hit by a right hand.
neither! why? cause khan doesn't have the defense to deal with mayweathers hand speed and also khan has a glass chin. danny garcia doesnt have the hand speed or the defense to deal with floyd for 12 rds.
Garcia for his habit to punch with you, a lot people say he throws looping shots but those is what hurt Floyd the most he usually doesn't get hit with shots that's in his line of sight other than jabs.
